NUFC Transfer Rumours

Talksport absolutely revelling in our misery like. Scousers and Man U fans not just slagging off the club but the area and the fans. I know I shouldn’t give a toss but it’s genuinely pissing me off.

We’ve walked away from this transfer window looking ridiculously weak and it’ll take awhile to recover and turn it around.

Nah, folk in football have short memories.

Our CM is very strong, so I would have loved to see us sign another top CM from a position of strength.  Think this will be more difficult now compared to earlier in the window. Would love the same when it comes to a CB.

We cannot replace Isak like for like, but what we could do is to gain strength in other areas to compensate for him. For example getting Wissa and a unproven youngster from a top club and then go again for the best striker possible next summer. Let Isak put ikea furniture together at the office if he refuses to play.

He couldn't have summed it up any better - it's exactly how most of us will be feeling

He has absolutely nailed it. For the overwhelming majority of my life I've wondered why we can't just have nice things once in a while, why are we always the butt of the joke.

The 2nd half of last season felt like heaven and it's quickly reverted back to hell as we've emphatically been reminded by the high and mighty where our place is.

I don't mind going from nothing, to everything and then back down to nothing again, but to have someone's foot on top of our head keeping us under water makes me wonder what's the fucking point in even trying anymore.

This is 'going from Rafa to Bruce' levels of despair for me.

Tottenham are interested in signing Real Madrid and Brazil winger Rodrygo, 24, as a replacement for their South Korean forward Son Heung-min, 33. (AS - in Spanish)

Howay Eddie - what's one more rejection - someone will eventually say yes - get Bruno on the case

Out of everyone on that uninspiring list of Hope's Wissa is the clear #1 imo and I would have plenty of confidence in him being our Wilson replacement.

The issue is that the only other name on there that would interest me is Jackson but 1. He'd be £60m+ 2. It'd mean being without both strikers over ACN

Really, none of those named are even close to being Isak replacements. Delap might have been. Pedro yes. Ekitike yes. Sesko probably yes. The rest of the names we've been linked with I'd have behind Wissa in the pecking order, never mind Isak.

Was talking about this today and my mate summed it up: "I couldn't give a fuck that we look weak to other people, but I give a massive fuck that we are being weak"

We’ve made a rod for our own back like. Which is the frustrating thing as it’s not rocket science. Failures across the board.

Can't believe how shite this windows been.

I dont believe there aren't any strikers from Europe who would be willing to join and improve the squad, same for the other positions.

We've focused so heavily on people we scouted years ago or the premier league its a fucking joke. Scouting department needs to start earning their money

Also, if we'd done the other business we'd needed (CB, CM, Wissa) I'd be much more...I won't say happy...comfortable maybe...with the last remaining question mark being Isak or someone else?

As it is the whole squad is weaker and we may end up replacing arguably our best player with our 7th or 8th choice alternative.

Yup. It's crazy that we've only strengthened one position at this stage.

Not replacing Isak until we knew what was happening with him is completely forgivable, but the failure to get any other deals done by now is astonishingly inept.

We knew in May last year, never mind this year, that our defence and midfield would need reinforcements and that Wilson would need replacing, this should have been done before a single ball was kicked this summer. Hell, if we'd hit the ground running with convincing signings, we may have even been able to talk Isak into giving it one more season.

It's wild that we're a week out from the new season and we've still got so much to do.

Toney on some sort of loan deal from Al Ahli would appear a logical solution to bail us out of this shitshow.

Not going to happen but I'd like PIF to start actually leveraging their wider influence for the benefit of Newcastle and creatively addressing the challenge of PSR rather than just feeling sorry for ourselves.

You really are a sad bloke. Point scoring after being called out for ridiculous comments about domestic abuse.

Called out by you for something I absolutely didn't say, proved you wrong and kicked your arse.

Called me a Clown and a Fool, turns out you were 100% in the wrong. Dafty. Time to lick your wounds and move on.

I dont know if club fully aware we have CL this season which requires us to have much deeper squad with more rotation and heavy test coming to see how good quality are our 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th etc best player in the squad. because if Howe tries too keep same 11 during August through end of October, we will be fucked before Christmas.

we have added Elanga and Ramsdale so far and a young Korean winger who may not even feature this season much.

dont care we tried for bigger names, as trying wont get the job done when those games coming up vs Bayern, PSG, Atletico, Napoli etc, after a hard weekend game vs Arsenal, City or Chelsea..

losing Isak and replace with with a worse striker just adds to the issues. 24 days left of the window, really hope serious movements are happening in next 12 days rather than  the 12 days after.
