Jackson from Villarreal probably would if he'd had the numbers over there the last 2 years as he's had at Chelsea?

Definitely would. I’m just not keen on us signing a meme.

Yeah I hear you man, what your saying is sort the targets out and stop chasing the premier league experienced high potential players the rest of the cartel goons are.

Or the lads who are obviously just going to slot in at established teams with storied recent history. Sesko is more in the unknown quantity worth-a-punt camp and that's the only one that's really bothered me, but picking 15th place Manchester United with a recent history of destroying promising young players over us probably says more about him than it does about us.

Speaking of Espanyol, how come Joan Garcia never gets mentioned as another player who turned us down?

Don't think we ever made a bid for him so we got a pass.

Not sure we were ever seriously in for him, more like leverage to get Burnley to reduce the price for Trafford?

Given how things are with psr and our owners, more chance man utd are successful than us tbh. Makes me feel absolutely sick to say that but just being honest as usual.

Not unless Amorim learns some pragmatism and tactical flexibility. Honest question, even if he gets his preferred players for his system. How long until most teams develop an effective counter to a rigid system, that he refuses to deviate from?

If their front three clicks they'll likely win the majority of games against the teams 7th place down. That'll go a long way. £200m and £450-500k a week wages on 3 forwards will do that.

They will fire him into the sun and get someone else in no bother. They will then spend as much as it takes to get back as they have been doing.

Aye, that's scenario B. They get another manager, go with his preferences and just spend another £200m plus to put it right next year.

This is what they've been doing and they will not change because they can't afford too. Too much around that club to allow themselves to give up.

I'm sure they have had better managers and better signings then this and have still failed.. there is still something toxic about Man u that this summer will not change.

This. Some fans are not looking at the bigger picture. Reality is that the ‘Top 6’ can have multiple rolls of the dice to get it right. Going there and flopping does not hugely diminish their chances of getting a move elsewhere e.g. Saudi. Even Liverpool youngsters who have barely played are getting big money moves abroad.

Their names are a big pull. In Saudi I’d imagine fans have fave PL teams that they support. Saudi teams buying castoffs from the ‘Top 6’ generates greater interest regardless if they are past their peak or flopped at those PL clubs.

But we should grow ourselves "organically" (whatever the fuck that means) to close the gap.

It’s a big if though, Cunha doesn’t exactly scream model professional and Šeško whilst exciting is still relatively unproven. Commentators who watched lots of Amorim's time at Sporting have suggested he isn’t really the ideal candidate for his system, heck there were an awful lot of media reports that Amorim himself was unsure of the lad. Mbuemo is likely the surest thing out of the three, but he wouldn’t be the first player to perform well elsewhere, that’s wilted under the pressure at OT.

It's an empty statement and annoyingly one our own fans even trott out

One step back and you realise it's absolutely shit and this is on all levels.

Organic growth like Liverpool Field a team of 11 Scousers

Organic growth whereby you need success to drive revenue but revenue is needed to drive success BTW you lot have brown owners So no investment from them tyvm.

Just think of the positives, we might see some deadline day action for once in a blue moon, without Pete Graves posting 👀 while he and all us know that no one is arriving!

If we haven't all barring a medical signed cunt x before deadline day we won't sign anyone on deadline day.

Nevermind deadline day, we play Villa next Saturday and it's looking likely we'll have Gordon/Osula upfront. :suicide:
