Depending on the deal that is struck post 1 Sept eg: he can leave for Xm next year, or pay rise, there should be enough incentive for him to perform.

 

There is very little loyalty in players these days. We're very lucky we have the likes of Bruno at our club.

If Osula is really being prepared for a loan or sale then, I reckon  the plan is: 

 

Francesco Pio Esposito (Development prospect who can/will actually start games).

Yoane Wissa or Alexander Sørloth (Starting striker, at least  for first few games post signing). 

Alexander Isak (will have to earn his place back, and earn trust, with training performance). 
 

At this stage, I just can’t see Wolves letting Strand Larsen go.

Champions league is a great incentive, goals not so much. He could just be greedy and take shots on just to hit his target instead of a simple lay off. Needs to be a team incentive. And yeah, sell him to anyone but them. Anyone.

I'm surprisingly calm about it. We absolutely have to sign striker, our season hinges on it, but the club are fully aware of that too.

If it really gets to the absolute worse case scenario, I imagine we’d just hoy 50m at Wissa or something and get him in on the last day. We won’t let the window close without a striker, even if the price will objectively be a mistake.

Whatever happens I hope we have a wildcard striker lined up incase the wissa deal fails, like a boniface type. So we atleast have a striker in the door for our campaign.

I truly hope we do have a plan though. I won't be panicking about it until Thursday evening. If no one is in by then, or atleast very very very close, I reckon we've fucked it.

I’m sure there’s a number somewhere between 45 and 60 where it’s just too much money and they’d drive him here themselves.

 

Despite all this talk about replacements, it’s not as if they can’t field a team without him or anything. They have an out-and-out striker and signed another dude who can play there. They’re not as messed up as we are

And that's actually the sad thing, we aren't that messed up. If not for the massive gaping hole at the top of the pitch we'd be looking fantastic. But that overshadows everything, and rightly so.

I mean frankly we should have just signed DCL on a free or something to give us someone to play for a few weeks and hedge against the absolute worst case outcomes. But on some level I don't blame the club for assuming that it couldn't possibly be this bad.
