NUFC Transfer Rumours

I think Kees Smit would be a very exciting signing but competition is going to be hot.

Lamine Camara is still only 21 and probably much more ready to go straight into the fold. Think he’s a better footballer than Ederson and can also put himself about.

Good highlight reel here.

He looks very much like Joelinton in the way he breaks up play, but a lot more technical and skillful.

Whatever the reasons the team definitely needs something in the middle third of the pitch (and on the wings)

The sources of chance creation has been sorely lacking all season long, whether that be improvement from those here, the manager figures something out tactically or new signings I don't really care.

But the amount of chances that gets created is really not good enough.

Once Wissa is up and running I suspect our chances created will improve significantly. His movement and runs behind alone with offer options to our midfield and our ball playing CBs. You can literally see them being exasperated with Wallys lack of movement upfront (EH will have to find a solution to use Wally effectively)

So would be looking for a versatile younger defender, our current crop are excellent but not very robust.

I would like a more attacking midfielder but they are bloody expensive and would rather use Wally as a 10 and look for another out and out striker to be funded by selling Osula to the Germans who seem to have a hard on for him.

The idea should be to move us back to how we played when the rat was upfront, high press, intensity and our wingers high up the pitch which is where they are best suited. None of them are technically gifted enough to be bringing the ball up from our half consistently, they need the ball ahead of them running into space.

I just want a technical player that can take the ball on half turn in tight spaces. Those type of players can completely change an attack with one pass by taking players out of the game.

Said it a while back, but I swear we hardly ever get free kicks in around the centre of the box, because we never have the ball in those areas to be fouled there.

I honestly think Ramsey is that player.

Bit conflicted by this transfer windows. Think injuries have shifted our focus to defence, and yes we definitely need full backs, but with Woltemade not being an out and out striker I can't help but feel we need wingers who are more clinical in the final 3rd.

See I'm of the opposite opinion, we have a lot of technical players, we need someone with flare and creativity who can score goals as well.

Love him or hate him but I'dove a Bruno Fernandes type is exactly what we need or an odegaard before his bad injuries.

100% agree, I would love a Cherki type player who can dribble pass players for fun but also play defence splitting passes.

When teams low block us we have only Bruno with creativity we need more players to open up defences.

I think that's why we are linked with players like Kees Smit and Luciano

Would love a midfielder who chips in with goals..A Lampard/Gerrard /Ljungberg/Yaya Toure type who could hit Double figures a season

I’ve always thought Bruno could do that if used the right way. I think only prime Toure could manage it in Howe’s setup though.

The right side is what’s hurting us (as well as a lack of formation change) - even going back to the ASM days we’ve been left orientated, granted Murphy and Miggy have had decent patches in that period and contributions have been made, but the lack of quality is there to see and the personnel especially stops us from being a possession based team - neither RW we have as the skill set

That and an all round midfielder - Lamine Camara for me

I think we just need to concentrate on making sure we are only signing players who will improve us, or that have a higher ceiling in the next couple of windows.

I'm not going to knock the summer transfer window too much because we desperately needed to fill out the squad, but I think not having a DOF in place probably saw some us getting rinsed on a couple of the signings.

Kluivert would have been an ideal buy for us in the summer. No fucking chance Bournemouth let him go in January.

Ideally we do need someone in central midfield who can score and create things a bit more, but we also need to work on our wings, especially RW. That’s not going to happen though with Elanga being a recent arrival. We’ll probably bow out of the race to get Trafford as well in order to get a WB or 2.

I don't think there is any race to get Trafford. City don't need to sell him and he's made his own bed by going there.

Wich full back would people be happy with?

The LB from France will do - the fact that we now know Miley can cover RB for the short term gives us breathing space

Ideally in the winter window

LB

CM

FWD

Willock and Osula sold

Then in the summer GK, RB/CB, RW

God no. Totally lost defensively and too expensive

Really? Always thought he was a tidy player. Agree with too expensive though. I suppose looking abroad would be a better option.

Priority should be a specialist CDM. Bruno and Tonali can play further up. The midfield structure isn’t working and as a defensive unit we are porous.

Hence Lamine Camara - can shift Tonali to the left where he plays for Italy
