jackyboy
Gordon wouldn't have finished from that position

He’s a better finisher in every way. Better technique or composure but ball striking better movement.

I agree just a must start in my opinion if we are to get out of this slump in form in the league.
Lush Vlad
Take the greats out the game and the top 20 Prem scorers, say. And I reckon you could put Barnes’ goals up against anyone. He is ruthless and loves a worldy.
The College Dropout
Tbf to Barnes he’s probably the best finisher at the club. He was second to Isak last season.

Same as the rat’s vs Everton. Although I remember Salah getting an assist where it hit the opposition. Cartel rules are different.
TRon
The Brentford lads were set up for him cutting inside, they didn't expect him to go the other way again. It really was a clever bit of foobtall
Pilko
His 50th PL goal. Not many wingers will get to that mark in their career unless they take loads of pens or play for a title chaser.
The College Dropout
He’s probably the only player we have who in those positions is composed and can rely on their ball striking/ technique in that situation
Myleftboot
If Tony Gordon walks back into the team I’ll be raging.
Kid Icarus
He's the only player I know who nearly always puts topspin on his finishes. Surprising that more players don't do it tbh, it's a great way to still score even if a player gets a touch on the way in.
Tsunami
Really pleased Gordon wasn’t fit for this. Gordon has to start producing or I’d be tempted to cash in. He’s keeping out a goal scorer.
andycap
He's just different to our other wingers more technical more creative with his flicks into space or into midfield and makes threatening runs into the area.

La Parka
Always has been an assassin. Doesn't create loads but put them away regularly enough. He's kinda like an old school poacher but outside left.

andycap
He isn't scared to whip it in on either foot the rest are very one footed.

Newcastle Fan
Very well taken goal today. hopefully he can continue this as this season progresses.
kenlau88210
I am curious if we could play 442 with him and Wolt up top. Gordon or Joelinton at LM depending on what team we face. Murphy in his usual role might get loads more assists
Heron
Demonstrated why he two footed footballers are a massive threat today, bur sadly had little opportunity to do so. He is one of 3 wingers who haven't been showing enough previously, but is presently 2nd for wm on performance despite being better than Murphy today. Starts ahead of Gordon for now. Lush Vlad
Basically done the opposite of what I said in the match thread pre-game and how he is usually. Been really good outside the box. Wasteful as fuck in it. Think Murphy was just offside. But still. Just bury it and then let VAR worry about it. It’s as if he got there a step too soon and tried sorting his feet out. Could have just scuffed it in on his right.
