And Matt Targett who honestly feels like a better left back than he is. i know he might turn out to be great but right now he looks so raw.

He's missed 382 days through injury in the last two seasons, and has only been involved in 10 squads since this time last year.

It’s only as a consequence of the crappy and likely verging on highly morally questionable restrictions we are under which make his fee seem a slight issue.

He’s a 35 million pound player all day. He will box off LB for 10 years all being well.

Targett is toast, no one wanted him this summer. When his contract expires I doubt he will get another club.

Thought he was probably our MOTM, along with Big Joe. His passing range is excellent and something we need from the back with him and Schar.

Same. The game was basically over when he came off, our last real ballplayer in the opposition half given Willock (sadly) looked fit for the Masters' League today.

Hall was more than fine, odd some saying he looked raw

He was probably the best of the defenders but is the least experienced

should have been moved into midfield instead of bring longstaff on.

would still left us with a passer on the pitch other than schar.

Still developing defensively of course but yeah… really important for us on the ball. Take him out of the team for a Kelly or Burn and we basically wouldn’t be able to get the ball up the pitch.

Think he's made the position his own now which is really pleasing to see.

Fully fit I assume our defence this season is

Trippier/Livramento

Schar

Botman

Hall

One thing I noticed when he came through at Chelsea was his brilliant crosses…We havnt seen the same delivery yet, but he has it in his locker. A bigger complaint is we just don’t have enough people in the box to challange for crosses.

He’s showing to be a better footballer than Tino. Far more involved in every phase of our game and rightly sticking by him.

Would say the difference in quality in front of both of them helps mind.

Tino having to deal with Murphy and Longstaff (mostly) is a hell of a handicap compared to Gordon/ Barnes and Joelinton.

He’ll get another club when there’s no transfer fee and he has to drop his wages.

I think that Hall is a really good player and is improving all the time. Kelly doesn't impress me at all , he picks the ball up in his own half with acres of space ahead of him but doesn't attempt to move forward into it preferring to go square or backwards

He is mainly a CB to be fair.

Had to bump this and give this man his credit today. Thought he was really good both defensively and going forward.

Have never really trusted him defensively against wingers like Madueke and was eager to see how he'd get on today.

Though he handled it really well. Very very encouraging.
