His ability to hold onto the ball under pressure is incredible given he’s not that strong. He’s amazing in the air considering his height and his passing is as good as you’ll get in a defensive role. He’s my favourite NUFC player these days

Definitely the best player for us by a mile. Well deserved MOM.

Don't like how the 2nd goal doesn't count as an assist because it is deflected. Probably not the best example as it does change the direction of the ball completely compared to others before. Yet you could pass to a team mate in your own half and he dribbles it 80yards and scores, which would count. Similar to how winning a penalty should be recognised in some way (although not from today's example).

So fucking good today (just as i shifted him out of my FPL team for Howe), he did everything right even when things were going against us.

I've kept him in mine, undroppable for me.

Our player of the season, thus far. I don't mind saying I felt he was our weakest defensive link in the opening weeks but his relationship with Burn and Gordon is fantastic and I think Howe has man managed him superbly. A real talented player.

This lad is unreal. Probably the best left back I can remember us having in the last 22 years I've been supporting.

tbh jose enrique was unreal at defending one to one.

In for a hell of a test against Salah however. Salah still has incredible speed which is Hall's main weakness so let's hope it doesn't get exposed too much.

Thinking more about the final rather than this next game.

I don't want him anywhere near the England team....Gordon aswell.

I think the opposite, whilst I don't particularly care for England I want our English players to get picked

It removes the idea that they need to move to "bigger" clubs to get picked for the national side

Plus the more we have in the England side then it surely helps with prospective signings too. If for example we are after Dibling, surely he looks at Gordon/Hall and the way Howe has helped them get picked for England and that works in our favour
