I think it'll be something totally unusual like:

                          Pope

          Krafth    Lascelles   Dummett

Livramento                                   Targett

               Joelinton   Longstaff

       Ritchie                            Hall

                       Gordon

Bench: Bruno, Almiron, Willock, Schar, Wilson, Tripps

I think the same, you only have to look at what we did against Man City, change it up, keep it tight and bring on the big guns in the 2nd half and nick it then if they're needed.

Krafth isn't anywhere near fit enough yet to start a game surly? apart from that, it wouldn't be a bad shout and just go give it a go.

He started a match for the U21 team about a month ago... so maybe?

I wouldn't mind moving Burn back to CB if Sven is going to be out for a significant period of time.

It would strengthen us at CB and we could try with Targett and Hall at LB.

Wont happen mind.

Didn't go well the last time

Would certainly depend on the opposition. As the gap between defence and midfield was huge against Brighton. Burn didn’t want to step up and aggressively press. The same way Botman, Schar and to a lesser extent, Lascelles all do.

Will need to get creative with our rotation the way it’s going with injuries. And we do have about 6-7 full backs available now

I’m not sure Howe fancies him playing CB too often, mind.

Was a spell at the end of the first-half v Man City where Targett switched to LW. Wonder if he might even go something like Manquillo and Krafth full-backs, Dummett, Lascelles centre-halves and Targett and Livramento out-and-out wingers?

Stay in the game until 60 mins then bring on the cavalry. Who knows, one of them might even have their Watson at Liverpool moment.

Why do we have so many full backs. I forgot we also have Ashby out on loan. I mean generally you would look at the spine of the team and make sure that is stacked, and yet we are light at both CF and CB.

Unsurprisingly, sounds like Gordon will be playing up top for this.

Bit funny that we're playing our left winger as a striker ahead of our £40m striker, who instead will be playing left wing

Bungle a tight penalty win. Port Vale at home in quarter. Boro in Semis. Let's go.

This being a possibility means we should still give it a go despite our injuries and fixture congestion.

I thought we might just play the same team that started against Man City in the last round, however when I checked we have lost 4 of those starters. Even though Man Utd are poor, we might struggle tonight.
