Why have Arsenal lost confidence ?

They got beat yesterday and there's been alot of questions surrounding their performances, lack of balance, what Havertz offers etc. They certainly aren't the side that beat us at SJP last season but still good obviously.

Just to add to this, last 9: won 5, drawn 2, lost 2. That's decent form but not the barnstorming of last season. Both sides have found a slight struggle with fixture congestion.

It's no coincidence that last year with no Europe we overperformed and arsenal not trying too hard in europa they did what they managed to do then now we are both finding it a lot tougher (as are Brighton) and spurs with no Europe are flying

Add Liverpool with no champions league as well. The europa is far less intense for a club/squad like them

Just shows what a machine Man City are though

I think man utd and Chelsea show you spending every last penny doesn't make you a machine that wins numerous titles in a row. A treble etc

Err, not really. Both clubs are always in the top 4 (last season being the exception and winning stuff). Don’t get it confused spending huge sums is a pre requisite to success. Thankfully our owners understand this.

Will be brutal hard game but I really hope we can get something out of it. first goal is crucial, and of course defensive blunders need to be cut.

we will need some top scalps at home if we want to make top5 this season (I assume 5th will worth CL).

we should have beaten 10 man Pool at home, we need to create those kind of situations here as well maybe to get them red carded .:)

they lost in Carabao, we put in a top class performance, this bit of momentum should help us more.

Think they'll have a bit too much for us to win, but can certainly see them being a lot more worried about coming here now than they have in about 20 years

Think they where pretty worried last season tbh.

There was a video of the lads coming back in after the game yesterday, and Bruno did appear to be grimacing a bit!  Hopefully noting.  Did wonder why we had to bring him on personally.

Think Howe mentioned that they used the second half for fitness as it’s a hard task coming into a tough fixture like this “cold” as it were.
