Bournemouth 2-0 Newcastle United (11/11/23)

Jo may as well not be playing if we’re putting him up front. Gordon has to play up top and we have to find a way to get behind them. Willock has been very quiet. We look like a team expecting to lose, not prepared to over commit and hope something goes our way.

Here’s hoping Eddie is doing a Rafa, stay in the game and make it a last 20 minute game.

We shouldn’t be getting anything from this game.

Bit harsh having a crack at any of our lads really imo. I think the injuries are finally catching up with us, we're on our arse, so to expect much in terms of equal ability or following the usual strict tactics isn't really fair. It's not been great in terms of attack for that first half, but get a decent counter and we could nick it.

Hope we switch to Gordon up top again. Seems we've opted for Joelinton due to a desire to go more direct (potentially fitness levels aren't high enough to play a pressing game for 90 minutes) but I don't think it's been a successful switch.

Disagree. Joelinton is the only one physical enough to play up top. We need to hold the ball for a while, and not just lose it all the time. Cannot play behind them cause when we break we are way too deep.

Think Miley has been good. Gordon got better as the half progressed. The rest look really tired. We’re too sloppy in possession for my liking this far and a bit too low as well. Let’s ride this first 15 mins of the second half out and then go for the jugular if it’s still 0-0.
