? Wat

Just bizarre isn't it?

The amount of times I do double takes in match threads because I'm assuming I've misread or misunderstood...

We've controlled the game perfectly. Just need to finish them off.

Joelinton been class so far. Motm for me

Yep. Him, Bruno, Miggy and Gordon have been very good

Feel like Isak has a goal in him today too

Two worries:

1) Complacency at the back and we drop a rick

2) Physical drop off after 65 mins. The bench is hardly stellar

We should keep pushing, as they chase the game Isak and Gordon will get more space.

Just what you want from your attacking winger against a championship side ?

well it is, yeah. We're a pressing & counter-pressing side. If your forwards are winning the ball then they're doing excellently.

I’m surprised at the lack of fight and determination from their players. Maybe it will change in the second half if the manager gets around them but they have not made it the game I was expecting from them.

They’re not lacking fight and determination. You’re just bigger, stronger, fitter and better.

Did I hear them saying during the first half that somewhere ran out of beer at 8:20 this morning?

Aye in Sunderland. Them fuckers can't count. Probably ordered 1 keg instead of 11.

In all fairness, Isak should have at least pulled the ball over to his left foot away from the defender. At that point he’s either shielding the defender off, or being taken out from behind.

Agreed. We shouldn't be talking about wether it's a pen or a free kick or a red card, but simply celebrating an Isak goal.

He still doesn't look his sharpest to me.

New tactics from Eddie.....bore the opposition to defeat....:tumbleweed:

He wants to go away from being Klopp and start being Guardiola instead.

They’ve got 11 behind the ball most of the time

Like every other team. They need to show some real attacking intent!

They haven’t been racing into tackles and charging us down like I was expecting.

They’ve tried. I wasn’t lying when I said it was men against boys.

Aye, that's so annoying, seen Miggy do that a few times as well. But a top striker should do that by instinct. He should have scored.

We don't really have any players who are capable of striking a clean ball from the edge of the area. It'd be great to sign someone who is a threat from the edge of the box.

Yeah, for what it’s worth though, I actually think it’s brilliant defending once Isak has decided not to shoot or bring it to his left foot. The shirt grab isn’t as bad as people on here are making out and it’s fairly close to the line, but not quite there.

If that went against us, we would all be raging.
