That headline still feels unreal everytime i read it, just a few months back i saw Wimbldon's striker get the best of him most of the game, and now he is going to play in the back for a team that had some of the best defenders in football history playing for them for years

When we signed him in the summer Botman was crocked and Hall hadn't yet cemented himself in the team. As a signing he made a lot of sense at the time on a free to cover both positions.

 

Circumstances have changed and he's become an overpriced player (in terms of wages) contributing little. It's a very good opportunistic sale to get this money back now.

Most likely an agreement Howe is gutted in public so Mitchell can be the bad guy in terms of the squad shake-up. After all, some of the players are losing their friends and changing their lives by moving them on.

Can understand concerns about Almiron leaving potentially meaning we’re a bit light but I feel we have more than adequate cover at the back for this one. From the (admittedly little) we’ve seen of Kelly, to turn down £20 million pure profit would be ludicrous.

Actually feel quite sorry for Lloyd Kelly, he was obviously promised a complete different scenario when he first signed, clearly wanted by Eddie, then Amanda leaves, and Mitchell ridicules our transfer policy, then he's out the door.

 

Really tough time for him, hope he can get a great start on his next chapter.
