I agree, very early days. My gut feeling is he’ll largely be quality and help us a lot going forward but will produce ricks at a higher rate than his counterparts. Will be worth it though and probably over time they’ll become rarer

One loose pass, but when you see Miley who is a very good passer making 4-5, you have to give allowances for this type of player. They bring a lot more to the table over the course of a season than they concede.

He’s got a rick in him, but so has Botman. That said love watching them both play. They’ll not replace Schar and Burn any time soon though. The old war horses aren’t ready to be put out to pasture.

Definitely has a bozo gene.

One thing this guy and Botman have over the Burn and Schar combo is those direct quick balls into midfielders or attackers. Howe will love that for the way we play, and as much as I love the old pair, im extremely excited for Botman and Thiaw to become starters!

 

Then if they have a keeper behind them with some 

feet, plus Hall and Tino, were laughing!

Think thats a transition we may well see as the season goes on.

Bozo sounds harsh. Bandit worded it nicer. It was the fear when he signed when you read/watched his clips. And you can see it in what is very limited minutes. I think Howe can iron a lot of that out from him but it is evident. 
 

There’s this one clip he misjudges a header and it goes backwards. He hastily fouls a player at the edge of the box. Ref plays an advantage then he gives away a penalty. All this happens in about 9 seconds. I can see that guy, in this guy. Will try to find it but it’s hard to shake from the memory. 
 

Not to be too harsh. He was largely supreme.

That was picked up by a few others as well. They don't just look for the sideways pass to the full backs, or the long ball forward, they are looking to ping into midfield areas as well, this started off quite a few dangerous moves last night. 

 

Should not be underrated.

Thiaw got into the team because of head injuries and he's been great should keep his place in my opinion as that's how these things work. 

Botman is the same he's been elite the last two games.

Every single player makes little mistakes every single match. Find it very odd that we continue to go into minutia over it on here. Think all performances should be judged on the whole and if you can’t be encouraged by his performance and potential partnership with Botman I don’t know what to tell you.

Yeh its the ability to shift the ball to create an angle for the pass, and then acutally pulling the pass off thats the difference and probably quite a large upgrade in the same way a GK with feet would be for us.

 

I'm not sure Burn or Schar have enough pace/technique to do the first part.

I like what i've seen so far. His passing range is class and his confidence on the ball is impressive. Could be a steal if Eddie/JT work their magic on him

He played a few that looked like hospital passes, to nobody in particular and just into an area or straight to a Bradford player. 
 

Then a black and white shirt would come into shot and he’s picked them out with a perfectly weighted pass. 
 

I know it’s against League One opposition. But it was still impressive and he has tried it a good few times in his apps already. I think a quick pass inside started off the move against Barca for Gordon’s goal.

There's a slickness to his cross field passing that's very satisfying, once he sees a pass is on there's minimal time before the ball is at the foot of the receiver. Those extra few seconds it buys can prove the difference.

I liked how Ramsdale passed to our players with confidence to start some of the moves.

Not a great game to get a true sense of what they can achieve, but they both look calm AF, and I feel their distribution into the middle is quicker (and a bit more risky). But I like it.
