I don't think anyone expects him to continue scoring every game, the point is about analysing what he has to his game and if that can be an asset to us. andycap
He will be a force once his finishing and technique improves. So many happy to pour cold water on his improvement no matter how well he does. He could end up saving us a fortune in the striker department if he continues to work hard.

If so the person has to have elite stamina and speed. Would love Julian Alvarez in a perfect world
BoSelecta
Fair to say if we he was putting up these numbers in La Liga and we signed him then people would be creaming their keks.

This is very true I couldn’t see it with him I’ll be the first to admit, I didn’t think he had PL goals in him to the level of the ones he has scored now. I didn’t think he had it mentally but apparently he is coachable after all He has gone from un organised chaos to organised, most of the time chaos in a short time. Who knows how much he can improve on where he is but it’s a credit to the boy that we are having these conversations now. Hes got some finish on him off of either foot, you don’t see that very often. He'll save us a fortune in failed strikers anyway. Why pay £70m for international strikers who can't get in the team ahead of him?

Just think if we get a good offer off the back of it, I wouldn't be against cashing in. We've been horrific for cashing in on "purple patch" players while their stock is high. Gottlob
I like him. He's fast and physical, two-footed and willing to try things on the ball plus to me he looks like a promising finisher. He has shown a degree of finesse with both feet and I thought his two goals on Sunday were excellent finishes. Striking without hesitation while keeping the ball low and on target is most of the battle won. I think given the makeup of our squad the clearest course would be to stick with a 4-2-3-1 and then you'd hope to sell Wissa and sign someone to compete with Osula. That obviously depends on Howe and on Woltemade's preferences and perhaps the financial side leaves us stuck with Wissa. You wouldn't want to go into next season with the same three or two of the three as our only options up top but you also don't want to crowd the picture. Pilko
I think we've got enough to be getting on with transfer-wise without flogging Osula, so unless we get a genuinely mental bid, like £70m+ for instance, I'd keep. Feels like the hard work is starting to bear fruit after two years good work behind the scenes. We've got Ramsdale, Krafth, Tripps and probably Gordon, Tonali and Tino to replace before we even think about trading up Willock, Wissa, Woltemade, Pope, Elanga, both the Murphys... Osula would be right down my list to sell. Edited May 19 by Pilko
Mattoon
It's too early to tell if this is a purple patch or if he's just progressing well under Howe, on average forwards don't usually hit their purple patch until after 23 up to 28 so he's either an outlier or he's on the path to something really good, only the coaching set up could know that definitively so we have to put our faith in them doing the right thing. I'd say the signs are promising, it's not like Almiron who was still kind of pony, just everything he hit ended up in the back of the net. Osula is strong technically and skillfull with both feet, the goals came after.
kingxlnc
He would be great as a sub to bring on to stretch tired defences at Howe's favourite 60 minutes Get a top class finisher with more pedigree for up top We also perhaps need a different type of profile so we have all types Osula is the fast chaotic Asprilla type Woltmade is the silky number 10 type Wissa is the poacher type We need a strong powerful type, like Samu so we have got a mix of styles. Personally would like to see Osula as a winger option who can get goals because he's fast, skillful and two footed. We need someone more clinical at CF
GeordieDazzler
Do we need a top class finisher when Osula already has the highest conversion rate in the league
Jamie87
He's got such an awkward gait. Someone on here described it as running across a swimming pool on inflatables, or something to that effect. But he absolutely eats up ground like. He also looks like he doesn't have the ball fully under his control, but then seems to have an uncanny ability to move it very quickly away from players. He's shown some unreal skill at times. I like him. Do we build a team around him? Probably not, but he at least tries to take a man on and adds a bit of excitement. I don't know who else in our 11 actually is capable of beating someone one on one... Hall maybe.
barton
He’s racking up goals and getting into plenty goal scoring positions. He’s kicked into fresh air and kicked the ground on a some excellent deliveries into the box, if he’d converted those we’d be thinking wtf has Eddie created. Don’t sell this lad unless a silly offer comes in
