4 goals in his last 300~ minutes (9 appearances) in all comps going back to his header against Ipswich last season.

Still looks raw and a bit naive with fouling his man etc. but gradually the goals are starting to come. Small sample size & two were against a League 1 side, but if he can continue that kind of rate across sporadic appearances as a sub or occasional starts he'll be a really useful player to have.

Shola was never quick imo or as mobile.

Yesterday he looked like Haaland to me (just messier).  Too big and fast for the opposition and always looking to make hurtful runs in behind.  Still think his game needs seasoning but he was a level above the competition today.  Good game.

Shola was certainly quick and mobile in his early 20s.

I don't think he'll ever become a good prem striker but at the same time I can see why Frankfurt are willing to shell £30m on him.

They've got a pretty good record of developing young strikers, they obviously seen something they can work with.

I thought both goals were excellent FWIW. Powered through the challenge for the first one, and good late arrival at the far post for the second. He needs to take up those sort of positions when he's playing as a striker as well as when he's pushed wide.

he looks like he could develop into a PL level player out wide, I think. Especially alongside a profile like Woltemade up front. Decent running onto the ball with space in front of him. Horrible with his back to goal and in general play centrally though.

He still looks like his legs and brain are not connected. Was an attack in 2nd half yesterday where he got played through in the box and how quick his legs were moving, he almost stumbled over the ball and meant when he shot his body was like ahead of the ball :D Just needs to calm down a tad as he has the pace / physicallity to beat defenders.

Very happy for him, the finish from Bruno's through-ball was not as easy as the commentators were making out, they were creaming themselves over the the pass itself but I thought the finish was extremely composed and a proper finisher's finish, through the legs. He had to sort out his gangly legs and get into the right shape and muscle past the defender to do it. Hope he kicks on and shows some of this at the PL level where seems to be a yard behind play most of the time.

One of the first thing's Shola did was put Lebeouf into the Milburn Stand, which I appreciated. Never thought he was fast though. More a McGhee (since that was topical in the Bradford pre-match thread) - capable of some interesting skill but not going to burn anyone.

I got the impression he ran at the same pace as the defender, not realising he was allowed to go faster and beat them to the ball, so either it was that or he wasnt fast.

Nice to see Eddie praising his hold up play, but I think he's just trying to point him in the right direction. That was the part of his game that was missing for me, massive difference when Woltemade came on.

That said, Osula offers something totally different, he has explosive pace, and I loved how he took that first goal shrugging off the defender.

Yeah a good night for him, I do think they have been very patient but now due to work load the rotation will see him get more minutes and hopefully start to be consistent with the potential Eddie and Jason originally saw in him. “I’d love it” if he comes good for us.

Really like that Howe specifically mentions his play out wide, would really like to see him also get more opportunities in that position.

I think that’s his natural position. RW forward. Hopefully he’ll benefit from some of Big Wolt’s fluid link up play. Wissa definitely will.

Yeah, I think he's more ready to play down the side, and it comes much more naturally to him currently.

Considering Murphy's age it's well worth giving him opportunities there to see if he can be another option there longer term.

We should still work on his ability to play upfront too though, as he has great attributes for that also if he can get better, and it will just mean he's a more complete and versatile player.
