Playing him over Elanga is surely a no-brainer.

Elanga being really good tonight makes it a bit of a brainer, mind.

It's so unbelievable that he wins that back so deep sprints all out that far forward and then manages to pull that off at the end of it all. Just incredible really.

Easily the most unexpected goal. Went mental over here.

Nah.

Bit blinkered if you're not giving him his dues tonight. Couple of poor crosses aside he was very positive.

Such a good impact sub. Wouldn’t be starting him anytime soon. He’s absolute chaos coming off the bench against tired legs; strong, fast and good in the air. He’s a nightmare for a tired defender.

Did I miss something with Elanga? Clubbing every cross far too hard and high over the top of the box is playing well now is it?

Would still take £30m for him no questions asked, mind

To the Bundesliga with a buyback. Needs time on the pitch in a goal friendly league.

Put in a couple of poor balls but otherwise was good IMO. Nice touches, confident running, good link-up with players around him.

I must have watched a different game. Possibly better than usual but the bar is very low.

He tried hard, but those 2 over hit crosses in plenty of space were dire.

Very much this.

Playing in the cups and regular sub appearances against worn out teams, he could make a nice career here.

Exactly what I wrote on here a week or so ago. Class to bring on in the last 10 when chasing. So chuffed for him, brilliant goal

Never really changed my mind on him. He's got pace and power, but obviously not a natural striker's instincts. But that pace and power with the shooting ability is worth a lot by itself.

I think he's set the bar so low that people are now impressed when he manages to do the absolute bare minimum basics right, such as work hard and not misplace short passes.

I didn't think he was especially bad tonight btw, just the key moments when he had time and space to cross it he absolutely hammered it with the power drive club onto the other wing. And given he rarely fashions a shooting chance for himself, good crossing is the output you'd want from him.

Well I mean, just 2 ways to view the same thing I guess. But when he is improving I don’t see the point in not pointing it out. He did a lot more than just overhit 2 crosses.
