madras
Funny at the match to hear my mates who were earlier on in the season saying "just play him, ye never knaa" now wanting him not to play as his value goes down every game.

I hope Frankfurt still haven't sobered up since they offered us 30m That's a bit harsh as one of their forwards actually scored.

Holloway
has to show a bit more when these limited opportunities come around. I thought he was improving before the injury but that was a weak effort there

Funtime Frankie
I thought he had come off in the first wave of subs but when he was subbed off later I was surprised, totally anonymous all game

stozo
Strange one as I thought at the start of the season he showed promise, but did nothing in either of these CL games against Qarabag despite getting given a fair crack.
Jaqen
Start of the season most were rightly saying they never wanted to see Gordon play striker for us ever again. Amazing that he's now looking by far our best option there ahead of the 3 actual strikers
AyeDubbleYoo
Have backed him a lot but starting to lose hope a bit. When you can't get involved in the game against these it's worrying.
barton
love his effort. unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s happening for him, does it?
Jordan
He seems much better coming off bench. Just doesn’t work for him everytime he starts.
TheEntertainer
He got bullied by their crap Colombian CB who looked the worst player on the pitch last week which is a worry. Agree tonight was poor for him, not really a night to take a lot from I don't think though given how the game was played.

I saw Psycho was on talkSHITE saying Gordon should be Kane’s back-up at CF for England. I still love Pearce but he was talking complete bollocks there. Gola
As others have said, he's a brilliant option from the bench. Starting it just doesn't work. Be great if he'd stay and we could just introduce him when we're chasing for a goal and or to give someone a breather, but he'll rightly wanna be playing as a starter so it's best for him that he goes. Nucasol
Think the lad has the right characteristics to do well in one of the the German, French or Dutch leagues. However, against PL teams I don’t give him much of a hope.

Brilliant option? Hes mediocre from the bench and even worse when starting. We bought him from a crap Sheff Utd team where he wasnt even playing every week and looks more a lower Championship/League One player every time he plays Have to try and get some money back for him in the summer and get rid, theres no chance anyone will pay £20m for him now like he cant hit a barn door and runs around the pitch like a toddler at soft play

I'm not saying he's a brilliant player, just he's a great third choice, last throw of the dice type player. Like Origi was for livarpool.
TaylorJ_01
I think he's still a decent option to just come on and press tired defences and force some errors and openings. I don't think he really has much more than that, and maybe it's something a youth player can do anyway. If we could sell for some money it seems like a sensible option. Not sure Osula has it in him, he’s never really scored consistently at any level.
KaKa
He just doesn't seem to have the right instincts to play upfront. I've liked how he's looked whenever he's been played on the right, but he hardly gets any game time out wide, and so it's difficult to know what his potential really is in those positions. If we'd seen more of him out wide and he had looked consistently good out there, I'd have probably looked at keeping him as an option there instead, especially as Murphy is starting to get on now. I think this is right. He's got some pace and power which is what probably attracted us, and now Frankfurt and allegedly Villa in January. He doesn't seem to have the natural striker's anticipation for attacking the goal. I don't think he's been helped by not getting regular opportunities to start, but feels like his time is probably up now.
