Holloway
Looks genuinely 2 footed, kept that in with his left when it would have been easier with the other

Yes he did and was limping very heavily when running to the huddle of players. He could barely walk, just cramp hopefully.

alexf
What I would say about that goal as well is that I don't think anyone else in our squad is capable to replicating that. Maybe Barnes for the shot part but even then I don't think Barnes could pull that off on his weaker foot. So in terms of raw potential and the ability to pull off a goal like that ( all the elements from winning the ball, then the speed to keep it in, the dribbling ability and the weaker foot shot) I'd say he has the highest ceiling of any of the front players outside of maybe Gordon. However putting it all together will be the challenge. He has had some poor games this year as well when he starts, but I will give him benefit of the doubt as Howe said he was no where near his physical optimum and perhaps that hampered him. Do think it would have been a mistake to sell last summer, even at the rumoured £30m. Just got a weird feeling he is one of them that might be a later bloomer and suddenly score a bag full for someone else if we sold him like in the French league and then be worth double/triple what we sell for. Can't be on a high wage and only cost us £10m so would prefer to see him stay and develop with us.

Hopefully he can develop further as by the sounds of it he does this all the time in training.

Holloway
Apart from big Dan's goal in the final, that effort has left me as breathless as Bruno's flying header v Leicester, I only have to view it about a hundred more times to catch up to it
The College Dropout
I do love that he knew exactly what he wanted to do. Showed football IQ there with the bent run, taking on his man. What makes it even better is I was firmly sat non-expectant for until I saw the curl of the ball. Like it was great work until then but… it’s Osula. Should never disrespect him like that again. And he’s done it before.

I mean you wont be the only one, it was only a few games ago his shot looked more like a field goal attempt instead of a strike. I would love to think he pushes on from here but doing stuff like that does at the very least help with his value and it will be a future highlight reel/ quiz question in the future no doubt. timeEd32
Another example of a quiet impact to this up and down season. If he had been fit in November/December he would have gotten more opportunities, Woltemade wouldn't have been run into the ground, and maybe Wissa doesn't get as many minutes on his return. And for a player who has only played 279 minutes in the league, he's gotten us 3 points against Man United, created the winner against Fulham, and almost got us a point against Liverpool. At the very least he can make things happen out of nothing and is a menace against tired legs.
Monters
I've had \ still have doubts about him but credit where it's due quality goal and as a few have said the initial run forcing Tripps to play it and then knowing what he wanted to do, to the execution was great... He certainly made me jump out of my seat last night!

Not many people do well playing lone striker in the PL at anywhere near that age. Definitely wouldn’t sell unless we have a guaranteed buy back. Must admit one of the first things which went through my mind was, at least this should ensure we get £25m+ for him if we do decide to sell. Not that I particularly want to, but I'm still not convinced he'll ever be a top striker. So if we make a big profit at least that's some consolation. I think the lad needs game time his limited mins to goals is actually very good and the injury has limited his chances even further but yes he does just seem this jack in the box no idea what he will do nor does he type. These sort of players don't come along very often and could be an amazing back up/ maverick to come on when you just need that spark. Minimal outlay on him but it just feels a disservice to his career for him to only ever be the back up, to be honest if he had to lead the line for an extended period right now I would worry for us, not to say he cant but just feels like he would thrive given more chances. As long as we 1. get a good fee and 2. do what others do on the gambles buy back/sell on % etc to protect ourselves I don't mind him going. Especially as the way Wissa and Big Nick cost us outlay wise we may need that profit to invest in an attacking rethink, although SCR coming in does that mean worrying about book value profit and loss matter less? Deuce
I’m not convinced he’ll be anything more than a bench player at this level. Which is fine, as we also need to build squad depth and include players who are happy as supporting characters. He seems like a good egg, but I could see him leaving to little fanfare after a few seasons in which he does little of note.
AyeDubbleYoo
If he’s given a chance, then fair enough. I just think it would be a shame for us to sell him right now when his ceiling is potentially very high.
