However, we scored enough goals last season to get Champions League, it was the defence that let us down. If we can score similar to last year and with Pope returning and a potentially top signing like Guehi comes in then there is no reason why we can't get CL, so I think this is the best move. We've 1. got pretty big cash to drop this window and 2. we are able to keep things completely silent until things are serious Guehi would be an amazing signing tbph, he looked really good at the Euros, is a great age, PL experience and needs to make the jump to a bigger club, it seems the perfect move for all concerned. No idea if we'll get him or we've just been used to smoke others out but the fact it's from Ornstein is really encouraging.
