As a starting point with this guy going forward, when he gets the ball on the right and is facing up his defender, can we not have Tino immediately trying to bomb forward on the overlap and crowding the space for Elanga to take his man on, on the outside?! Particularly as Tino can't even cross the damn ball if it's given to him!

Similarly can the right sided 8 not go rushing over to the right half space and crowding out that area straight away either?! So there's no room to cut in either like we saw for Elanga's goal against Man City!

Happened time and time again in the first half on Saturday. Horrible spacing and not enough room for the guy to do the one thing that might allow him any kind of success on the pitch. As far as running at his man and trying to get a cross or shot away.

The last thing you want is people coming towards him and asking for any kind of pass in tight areas, as we pretty much know how that goes by now!

And so the question is, why has no adjustment been made to sort this kind of simple thing out?

I think he struggles with expectations and pressure, at man u he struggled, pressure of a big club, youth product etc etc, goes to Forest no real pressure and does well, comes to us for a big fee, the fans expect him to do well and be the missing right winger we need and he can't play consistently well.

Good post. With Bruno in the middle, Longstaff in the right sided 8 and trippier behind him, it would probably look better. Generally when Elanga gets the ball he’s isolated, and only looks effective when he can run in behind. Without players around him and obvious passing lanes you can predict when the ball will be turned over.

His biggest strength yet I rarely see him do it. On Saturday he was always coming inside when our midfield or defenders had the ball, and at one point second half Miley had a right pop at him for it.

I'm probably forgetting now but I can only really remember him properly utilising his pace on the first day away at Villa then at Barca (H) in the league phase. Bar that he's just reminded me of Obertan.

Another brilliant cameo.

He'll come good when the crowd start cheering for him, he just lacks confidence, that's why he can't pass or cross or do anything. He'll be proven as a great use of £55m.

Not particularly fast

Poor technique

Never takes on a man

Weak as cats piss

Can't cross

Not a goal threat

No chemistry with full backs

Slows the game down

Doesn't link up play

Pathetic defensively

Scared of his own shadow

Thicker than a whale omelette

Did I miss anything?

Tbf he bailed us out a couple of times catching  an arsenal player on the counter. Most were his mistakes to start that counter (might be being unfair there)

Not even competition winner level this fucking gimp.

There should be some serious trade description checks going on here. No way he can be classed as a footballer.
