Couldn't even play the simplest of passes to Miley, this guy has a serious mental issue when on the field, like i said before he reminds me so much of Obertan who looked like he had all the tools but made all the wrong decisions on the pitch.

I truly want him to do well for us. Every game I see him start I look on with blind optimism hoping that this'll be the game that the odd flash he's shown turns into something of substance.

It never happens.

He has been an utterly rubbish footballer for us, there's no way around it. He fails at such basic things constantly.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you the stupidest footballer Newcastle have ever bought.

Just what the fuck is the deal with this guy?! He isn't particularly fast, he isn't skilful, he isn't good at tracking back, he doesn't do the defensive graft, he can't cross, he isn't a goal threat, he doesn't get stuck in, his link up play is risible, he's a coward and apparently it's all our fault that he has no confidence because the fans audibly groan when he fails to do something that any serviceable footballer at any level would be capable of doing.

Forget any notion of him coming good after a run of games, he's diabolical, a complete bum, get him so far to fuck. You can't cry about PSR and then go spend 55m on this chump.

It's the crowd's fault for getting on his back, that's why he misplaces 3 yard simple passes and couldn't trap a bag of cement. He'll be class when he gets some confidence.

He will have suitors that will take a punt on him, his real value is £30-£40M. It will be a loss but nowhere near as bad as Wissa. Wouldn't even surprise me if he went Everton/West Ham if they stay up.

It's been a full season almost and it really is hard to fathom just how bad this lad is. A 55m Obertan. We needed someone technical who could invert and cut inside and maybe thread some through balls, instead we got a mistaken ridden winger for 55m FFS.

Unless we take a heavy loss for say £20m (even that feels generous right now), I think farming him out on loan for a season is our best hope.

Not sure what idiot saw something in this guy which is worrying considering we chased him for two seasons. He has the first touch of a rapist, can’t pass, can’t cross/cut back.

Absolutely this. He must go - we can't have someone like him around the squad next season. It's already getting a bit toxic at the home games with his constant errors and poor technique. It will only get worse, for him and for the club. He seems like a likeable bloke that tries to put a shift in, he's just not close to what is required. Not remotely. Get rid.

Given that he was meant to be the improved replacement for Miggy, is there anyone who wouldn't have Miggy back in the team ahead of Elanga?

I would just see if we can make half the money back from a newly promoted side and cut our losses and be done with it. Nobody is performing well at the moment but this guy is on another level, it's nearly a full season now and he's still not doing the basics right, get rid at all costs.

I mean if one player could sum up everything that’s wrong with that team it’s Elanga. Did we actually bother to scout him to realise he’s abysmal with the ball at his feet, has no positional awareness and absolutely no fight.

Miggy's Mum's probably worth a shout.
