We were comfortable I thought, played a lot better and more effectively second half.

Big joe and his take no prisoners attitude with his cultured left peg swinger was majestic today.

Hally was top notch so was Willock.

Osula needs some time still so that's my only gripe.

Thought we came out for that second half pissed off and utterly determined to get the job done. We knew we were doing alright but had to quicken up our attack; we did and gave them a hiding in the end. Immensely satisfying.

That was so fucking satisfying. To not only win away, but to do it from 1 down against the in-form team in the league with one of the worst refs giving them everything is just 😗🤌

That second half performance was superb. Other than the defending of the free kick for the goal, the first half was decent too despite the ref's best efforts.

Let's hope we can replicate that kind of away showing more often, if we can we should be right in the mix this year.

They're not IMO. I just think Newcastle were that good.

Not saying they're a CL team, but they're decent.

Yeah, Nuno has them so well coached. They're a very effective counter attacking side

Can't believe a team with a spine including Sels, Yates and Wood are third

They are very limited mind, despite having a strong threat on the break.

They'll be mid table and looking over their shoulders by Christmas.

There are so many positives and things to note coming from that:

  • An away win, and a dominating performance to boot.
  • We scored three goals against a team playing with a low block, something we have really struggled to do in the past, and it was a team who had the second best defense in the league and where really positive.
  • We scored a goal from Corner, don't blink, it really happened.
  • Isak is back into the groove, and looking back to his best.
  • Hall continuing his quality start to the season.
  • We're now within a point of 3rd.

ON. THE. UP. :indi::indi:

Shouldn't be an understated what a brilliant win AND performance that was against such a good side.

Dominated the whole match, except when we chose not to - and came back from a goal down, conceded against the run of play. All on the road too.

If this is the vision Howe is reaching for, I'm all for it. :howe:

We played quite a few balls into their box which I'd describe as low probability given we don't have an old-style centre forward in the box, but I thought it made us more dangerous in a way.

You can see why Forest are so effective. Really, really good on set pieces. Attacking and defending. (Which makes it more hilarious we scored from one!). That allows them to be overly-physical in the defensive third, and flop in the attacking third.

Great performances across the board. Fun to watch again! (Even when a goal down).

Sometimes just the fact we have that tool in our arsenal is enough. Makes us less predictable and harder to defend against.

Has been the same problem with essentially not having a right hand side this season. Starting to see that slowly get sorted.
