Eddie Howe loves a loss to a League One club in the FA Cup, just saying ;)Ā

Burn felt his knee at one point

Would defo give him a rest

Pope

Tino, Krafth and Schar, Targett

Longstaff Bruno Miley

Osula Wilson WillockĀ

Ā

Seems like the best starting XI - potentially swap Tino for Trippier as he hasn't played that much to be fair, he could go again.Ā

Ā

Ā Keep bench options - bring Isak, Gordon, Tonali, Hall and Murphy on at some point in the game.Ā

Murphy for Wilson on the 55 min mark

Osula for Isak at 80 mins perhaps

Gordon for Willock at 73 mins

Hall for Miley if needed

Could do with Barnes and Lascelles coming back soon - bench really is getting light.Ā

Absolutely perfect.

Ā

Would then switch Bruno for Tonali at the half. And also Burn for Schar at the half. So that each of those players only play a half and not the full 90.

Hope we'll see a very strong team, as has been said we have a team who has shown they aren't a pushover for anyone so the goal should be to win this thing.

Ā

I could see a couple of changes from last night if the staff thinks any of the lads are carrying a knock or are really in need of a rest, but I don't want to see wholesale changes. Team will be buzzing, ride the wave.

Ā

We've a full week off after this game and then another full week before the next one. Put these tarts to bed in the first half with a strong lineup, then ease off and make changes in the second half.

Cup double still on the agenda. Ā Iā€™m happy to play the reserves in every remaining league match if we go for both cups. Ā Iā€™d give my right bollock for the League Cup - but Iā€™d rip off someone elseā€™s right bollocks and spend years in the nick as a result for an FA Cup :)Ā

Was quite surprised to see they played basically first choice XI on Tuesday night in the EFL Trophy - maybe they're prioritising that and the league over this.

Ā

I think there is a bit of concern from me that we underestimate this. It's effectively a Championship team away from home that's winning every week. A bit like Sheff Wed a few years ago.

Bluenose here in peace. Even with some regulars being omitted, I donā€™t see anything other than a Newcastle win. Okay, we have had a great season, but the standard in L1 is shocking! The atmosphere will be immense and I hope that we can put in a decent performance, but I think our unbeaten run will end.

Ā

Anyone travelling by car, please find one of the monitored car parks around the ground. Weā€™ve had loads of incidents of cars being stripped on match days, and even though this must be a lengthy process, the local police seem unable to stop it happening. Iā€™m talking about the whole front end of cars being taken!

Ā

Stay safe, enjoy the renewed atmosphere and facilities at St Andrews @ KP, and I hope you leave with positive views of the ā€˜projectā€™.
