Pope: Tino, Krafth, Botman, Targett: Longstaff, Bruno, Miley: Willock, Wilson, Osula

That’s what I want to see, as much rested as possible. Side can shift into a more narrow 4-4-2 or in it’s normal 4-3-3 with Osula coming in from RW.

Tonali, Burn, Tripp & Gordon on in 2nd half if still level to ensure ET is avoided.

Botman injured, at least for today.

I’d be suprised if he starts Wilson already

It depends entirely on what he's been doing behind closed doors.

He might have had some games like Botman did.

If he's only just returned to training at an intense level, then I'd agree with you.

He came on in something like the 88th minute on Tuesday, I’d say that suggests he’s way off a start.

Perhaps but Howe is quite cautious with subs at the best of times.

I think you are probably right TBF, it's more probable that he doesn't start but it's also perfectly possible that he's given 45 from the start.

Defence should be solid enough, regardless which 4 he picks, also plenty of choice for 3 decent midfielders.

Absolutely no idea what he does up front... Osula, Willock and someone?

Totally different players regarding their injury history. But Isak got a surprise start and just the first half at Sheff Wed after missing what, 3 months I think it was? So maybe Howe will do the same here in a bid to try and get Wilson something close to fitness…..

Hard to keep a straight face typing that out

The season we finished 4th only Brentford made more subs and they weren't usually because of injury, more so putting fresh legs on to maintain intensity.

I wouldn't say he's cautious, more that we often do t have a bench that lends itself to it........yet.

Osula and Wilson starting apparently.

Osula wide? Or doing some Josh King thing Wilson and Eddie did at Bournemouth?

As someone in my late fifties, I wouldn't mind a blast-from-the-past big man little man.

Certainly not a criticism of him. You can tell he's desperate not to make the side worse with his subs.

My wider point was that Howe not bringing a player on isn't always an indication of fitness, form of even how he rates them, especially when it comes to younger players.
