Manchester City vs. Newcastle United: 15/02/25 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

Said in another thread I’d expect some changes from them considering they are still in the tie. They have a huge squad (new signings as well) so it’ll be a strong 11 either way. That said are very disjointed defensively and slow in transitions. I just hope Gordon and either Botman or Burn are fit to play.

Gordon, Isak and indeed Murphy are ideal to exploit their nervousness at the back. Our legs in midfield gives me confidence too.

6 and a half years since we've even got a goal there I think? Hopefully knock that on the head early and go from there. Feel like we've nothing to fear, which means Bernado and Gundogan are probably set to remember how good they were 2-3 years ago and turn up, the cunts

Really can't see why we can't win this, and definitely can get at least a point.

They could have been 3 down in the first 12 minutes last night, and were dodgy as fuck the last 15.

And they'll have been "up" for that match last night.

We shouldn't be fooled, this is still a fucking hard away game - it is still a Pep-managed Man City, just one in a transition season.  Any points will still absolutely be unexpected points gained.

And on that, I'm going for 2-2.

It's fucking Eeyores Anonymous in here man. Into these with gusto and we've got a fantastic chance to beat them. There's never been a better time than now.

Yeap, the fact there is a pole on a Man City forum that has these results tells you everything you need to know about how bad these have been recently:

Obviously they still have world class players, that can beat any team on their day, but they're not the boggeyman they where 6 months ago.
