This season, Isak and Murphy are playing when available because it's worked. But there's a clear reluctance to change it up unless it's a seasoned pro, and only injuries will force that change. It's not dissimilar to some other clubs, like Hujsen only got his break because of Sensei injury. But if we're to sign more young players as a new route into the market, we need to play them early on more often. Which may come down to club backing Howe verbally behind closed doors, that if results dip it's fine, because that will happen with young players but he's the right coach to improve them long term and as a result, club moves forward. For me at the moment he's a C+/B- and very much a work in progress - for me he's still a step below Jose Enrique and Beresford who'd I'd say were solid B/B+s - but I'm still very excited about the player he can become. Doesn't seem to be an abundance of great fullbacks around at the minute, so lucky to have him and Tino. Doesn't seem like 2 minutes ago plenty were wetting the bed about spending £60m+ on them. Similar thoughts. Will he gain a yard of pace as he gets older? Not convinced he will with his build so his ceiling is B at LB. Still would like to see him further up the pitch TBH.
