Even most of the games we’ve got points in I’ve found labourious to watch at the best of times. Whether that’s being spoiled or not I don’t know but I find watching us a chore these days. The entire club from playing staff to fans need a huge refresh in the summer. All of December up until the 4-1 loss to Bournemouth 15th January was pretty wild imo. Compared to the previous 3 seasons though this one has definitely been the least entertaining.
Izakaya Posted yesterday at 21:30 Share Posted yesterday at 21:30 Woke up at 1am to check score, 1-0 up. Must have had a dream it was 4-4 and we won on pens and got up this morning buzzing, then checked on here. Ffs.

Ilovetoon8788 Posted yesterday at 21:43 Share Posted yesterday at 21:43 Forest 2nd half, man city, Liverpool and now this. Weak as piss mentality. Rolled over. Pathetic game all round by everyone. Schooled by Brighton.

Danh1 Posted yesterday at 21:45 Share Posted yesterday at 21:45 All in on City winning it now. Can see it being Villa though with their hardest game being Chelsea at home. Another good tie this round.
The Prophet Posted yesterday at 21:49 Share Posted yesterday at 21:49 Still fizzing at the Schar disallowed goal. Don't dispute it was offside, more that the offside law is currently completely unfit for purpose.

TheInfiniteOdyssey Posted yesterday at 21:52 Share Posted yesterday at 21:52 Think we could do with some off-the-pitch PR to just jolt the club a bit, whether that’s the stadium or other infrastructure news.

Ronaldo
Running theme at SJP and beyond that we’re significantly lesser, especially going forward, in the second half of games. If Eddie has one glaring weakness, it’s that for someone who pretty much only plays 4-3-3, he seems to have no answer to how you get a midfield 3 functioning in tandem with each other to dictate the pace and direction of the game. Even our fantastic winning run was primarily based on Isak scoring for fun and some plucky defending at the other end.

The lingering feeling for me is sheer bitterness in that, for us, we had to win it twice and that didn't apply to Brighton. Others will take a different view because of their hard-ons for lines that only exist in the digital world, but it's not far off Tino/PSG levels of bullshit for me. Just fuck off, man. Self-destruct my arse, we won it.

Chicken Dancer
Honestly one of the worst I’ve felt leaving the stadium in years and I honestly mean that. Absolutely fuming - it’s very rare you’ll get to the quarters with the teams that are left in it now. An absolutely huge opportunity missed and it will be even more sickening when one of Bournemouth, Brighton or Villa go on to win it. I certainly wouldn’t fear playing Man City at Wembley at the minute. It feels like 2023 all over again. Playing absolutely shit in the lead up to the final. Was quietly confident when we beat Arsenal that we could cause Liverpool problems. Now I’m pretty certain we’re to be embarrassed on and off the pitch.
