Eh? Some fans clapped Minteh off? I could understand it in Anderson’s case when we played Forest. Didn’t join in but I get it. For Minteh though, that’s madness

He scored in front of the Gallowgate though, so would be a weird apology to hold hands up in front of Toon supporters but what you've said does make a lot of sense too.

After his non celebration, I think it's kind of acceptable. (Im not buying the version where he didn't celebrate because he gave a pen away)

 

I feel the celebration was him showing he'd have liked to have stayed and played for us, but instead left without fuss, which in long run will help the club. It's a nice show of appreciation for that, if you ask me. x

I thought hearing/seeing people clapping Anderson taking a corner that subsequently led to a goal for the opposition was the most bewildered I’d feel at SJP this season. Then people clapped off Minteh after he’d scored against us.

I totally, but even not playing for us he saved us a points deduction by leaving when asked. Some of the playing squad havent done anything to earn us points this season.

Honestly I'm more annoyed by him not celebrating in the first place. Lad spent ten minutes here and never wore the shirt once.

You should see the Spurs stadium. Seriously, the tour is mental - coming from somebody who as a kid used to train in the ball court behind the West Stand. They kept the home and away dressing rooms fairly similar so it would be better balanced for European finals etc.

good question. There must be others, but not many. Alun Armstrong and Gary Caldwell are first former players that never played, but made it at top level, to come to mind. Don’t think they scored at SJP though

By all accounts we fucked him about something rotten in the summer, so I can't see anything wrong with us showing him some good will.

No I was sitting in the Gallowgate end and he was very visibly ‘apologising’ to our fans for scoring, he tapped his heart at one point
