Sorry but, we can't have this on the second page.

Dan Burn's goal is by far my favourite ever goal, and by quite some distance my most watched goal. I'll never ever tire of watching it back.

It's my second favourite goal, but I preferred Isak's.

When Burn scored I was elated beyond words of course, but I thought it might ultimately be for nothing. When Isak scored, I actually started to believe we'd win.

Still cannot believe we won a cup man. Just rewatching the post match analysis video Sky put on and it still doesn’t feel right, like many I had resigned myself to us always being the happy losers. Much like England (not that I care about them).

What a day. What a football club.

Where can I find the post match analysis, and what is the programme/video called?

Also, still don’t give that much of a fuck about England, still would rather win another League Cup than England win the World Cup.

Was just what was televised on Sky mate.

Rewatched that earlier. Brought back so many emotions.

Still can’t believe a captain of Newcastle United walked up those steps and lifted a trophy!

apart from the final my favourite game this season was our second leg 2-0 win over Arsenal

just the way we setup and played, aggressively going man for man with Botman in the team alongside Schar and Burn which surprised everyone

as well as doing it on a big occasion, evening game where atmosphere seemed immense

winning the cup makes looking back at the semi final even more special and meaningful now

also so glad Botman got to play an important role by putting in a full 90 in both legs

and this same Arsenal team could win the CL, making it even more impressive

everything that night including Johnny Bluehat was class.

stuff of legends this team.

Had a few frames of snooker with a mate I've not seen for a few months - first topic of conversation was the final. Where we watched it, what we thought, how we celebrated etc. Didn't talk about anything else for at least half an hour, just mint. Still have to remind myself we actually did it :)

Have we heard much about how much revenue the cup win has generated, or may generate, through merch sales and the like?

Hopefully 10% of a Cunha!

The prize money for winning the League cup is £100k.

Aye, loads of Champions shirts sold, and other Champions merchandise. Not to forget the final edition shirt as well. Both of them selling at full price, which considering is just a couple of stick on patches to the regional home shirt, which other Adidas clubs are now selling in their sales, it bumps it up a bit. You’ve probably got people out there with 2 or 3 editions of this year’s home shirt, when they would normally only have 1, all at full price as well.

You’d imagine things like scarves and the flags would have sold well for the parade as well.

4 sold out home games, would be a minimum of £5m in revenue you’d hope on that, particularly as hospitality would have been popular for Chelsea and Arsenal games. Not sure if club charges higher for the ‘bigger’ clubs these days.

Two home games in FA cup too. When compared to 1 home game across both competitions in 23/24. While we would no doubt have made big numbers from the 3 home CL games, the fact we played 50% more home cup games this year than last should at least offset some of the revenue lost from no Europe, although doesn’t compare to lots of the other components of being in the competition I realise.

Confession time.  This morning was the first time I've watched the game back in its entirety.   Funny how I was still 'participating' in the match even though I know exactly how things unfolded.  Nearly took the roof off when Burns bullet hit the net.  Kept the emotions in check until that final whistle went and saw Bruno on his knees crying and that was it.. floodgates opened wide!  Don't think I'll ever ever ever grow tired of watching this game till the day I die.
