I’ve only lived there a short while relatively speaking, but I long back for it every single day at least once or twice in a fleeting thought. A brilliant place inhabited by outstanding people. David Edgar Posted Sunday at 09:29 Share Posted Sunday at 09:29 I didn't think anything could top the emotions of yesterday but I've just got to see the Intertoto Cup trophy face to face. Life doesn't get any better.
Tsunami Posted Sunday at 09:31 Share Posted Sunday at 09:31 So glad they did the bus parade. That’s tradition, it’s not manufactured, you can see in the players, staff and family that it’s pure joy. You don’t need a stage or a light show, it was fine but, riding around your city, in an open top bus, celebrating with the people is the best. It links to the past and future. We’ll have captured lifelong fans because of it, it was lovely to see generations of families there and to hear parents with kids on their shoulders cheering and singing. As the bus passed I was caught by a memory of my recently late mother recalling how she watched from a window on Grainger St as the FA Cup winners from the 50’s passed by. Great day. bobbydazzla Posted Sunday at 09:52 Share Posted Sunday at 09:52 (edited) Can we all be honest, take off our black n white tinted spectacles for a brief moment and deal with the 100 tonne elephant in the room… If any daft cunt blows a vuvuzela near me ever again I’m ramming it so far up their arse that they’ll sound like a human kazoo whenever they breathe in, for the rest of their lives. And I won’t use lube either Nothing more to see here, feel free to carry on with your day as you see fit Edited Sunday at 09:54 by bobbydazzla
TK-421 Posted Sunday at 10:05 Share Posted Sunday at 10:05 Aye, was a canny day yesterday. Ended up along outside Haymarket Metro to watch them pass with my son. Mobile signal was shoicking in town, so didn't see any of the coverage till we got in last night, and watched the clubs live stream re-run on YT. Absolutely creased at all the clips of Bruno effing & jeffing live on BBC news! What a day though, and what a turn out. The aerial shots around Gallowgate and stack, then along Percy Street with the people on the multi-story car parks. Just, amazing.

Bet he feels like a right numpty now.

J7 Posted Sunday at 10:39 Share Posted Sunday at 10:39 Thought that was a great day from start to finish. The atmosphere was brilliant and the whole city was energised. There aren’t many clubs who can do it like that. I actually thought Ant and Dec were good, but Bruno and Eddie made the event at the Town Moor. Both got the mood perfectly. Chuffed I went down from Edinburgh for it.

SteV Posted Sunday at 10:44 Share Posted Sunday at 10:44 This is all absolute gold for PIF. A monumentally big event being reported on globally, with no doubt every report referencing the owners. Whether that’s ’sportswashing’ or not is up to every individual to decide, but it’s firmly put to bed the ‘are PIF still interested?’ question if it hadn’t been already. Bossman Posted Sunday at 10:58 Share Posted Sunday at 10:58 Great day yesterday, went with the whole family and even met up with the eldest in time for the bus to go past. Atmosphere was cracking as well, even the Mrs and middle child joined in with some of the chants. Well done to everyone involved x
