Newcastle United 3-0 Ipswich Town - 26/04/2025

Could of had ten the day like it was extraordinary how we couldn't put it in the net. 😂

Isak had another ineffective game hopefully he plays better against brighton.

Thought both our wingers played well put a lot of great balls into the danger area.

Complete domonation, reminded me of watching a SPFL game where Celtic pass it around a barely semi pro bum team like they're not even there and you question what the two teams are even doing in the same league as each other

Quite underwhelming performance until the sending off.

Difficult to pick the bones out of the rest given the depleted opposition, but not the confidence-rousing performance I'd hoped for tbh. Isak still looks decidedly out-of-sorts (yet still has 2 in 2 games). Really pleased for Osula. Proper livewire.

Three points most important, Howe gets a bit more rest. Much improved performance required next weekend.

5 at the back gave Isak no space tbf

Which is fair, but balls across the box is where you expect your striker to be. could of had half a dozen today had he been in there.

They're a weak team mind full of championship at best players.

I think we really need to improve on that first half performance. I thought we were really poor until the sending off and the penalty. I don't think we had a shot in the first half hour. However, a win is a win and I can't see any easy points ahead

Bit of a mess of a first half hour but ended up being a routine 3 points. TBH, getting the points on the board is all that matters at this stage of the season. Onto next week.

I think it's a good sign that we've seen 3-0 wins against Leicester and Ipswich lately where the general consensus is that we didn't play overly well. The better teams can look out of sorts and still have enough quality shine through to put the basement chod sides to the sword.

Got to be happy with that today. Win, +3 GD, no injuries (touch wood) or suspensions. Was always one of those "just win it" games regardless of the performance.

First time we've done the double over the teams facing relegation?

Newcastle 1 :0 Southampton

Southampton 1 : 3 Newcastle

Newcastle 4 : 0 Leicester

Leicester  0 : 3 Newcastle

Ipswich 0 : 4 Newcastle

Man Utd 0 : 2 Newcastle

Newcastle 4 : 1 Man Utd

Not a massive problem if others are contributing but Isak doesn’t half go missing at times. 19 goals in the last 5 and he’s got 2? 1 being a penalty.

Probably the only period since he arrived? Not sure what you mean "at times"

His piece of skill got them down to 10 men

Most relaxed I’d ever been watching us that second half.

He doesn't look fully fit to me. He hasn't for a few weeks.

I think he's playing through something, he's not quite at it and we've asked him to hobble through to the end of the season as who's gonna play in his place? We're chasing a CL spot and we need him but it looks like he could do with a rest.
