Arsenal vs. Newcastle United: 18/05/25 @ 16:30 (Sky Sports)

Merino being out makes things interesting. Without merino, Jesus or havertz they are a bit short up front it feels but still the fact they are putting up such a good fight against Liverpool with 10 men shows how dangerous they still are

Merino suspended, are we expecting Rice to be injured for this too??

No Rice, Merino or Havertz would be great, Arsenal's game is being physical so this would even things up with our injuries

So if we do somehow manage to beat these (I don't think we will but let's just be hypothetical here) we will be second in the league with a game left to go which is against everton at home. If that happens, think we can easily call this the best season of our lives.

We have a much better record against arsenal at home than we do away, the cup game this season was an exception but they weren't at their best that game in general. They are defo in better form than we are at the moment even if it has dropped a bit. But hey you never know let's get at them.

Really? They were rubbish against Bournemouth at home to name one.

Beat them three times this season, but I feel they’re too good to write off. They’ll see us a scalp. To finish second this year when they’ve had their best opportunity to win the league, will be disappointing, to finish below that will be really poor, so I think they’ll be at it.

It's more that we seem to be lacking good form lately than them being in good form tbh, though I thought they were decent against Liverpool today considering they were down to 10 men

They're 5 games without a win in all comps, we've lost 1 in the last 5. They're not in better form than us by any metric. I imagine since about November we've probably had more points than them also.

We were fantastic in the first half today i thought. But I guess we havent been that great away.

Thought Arsenal looked vulnerable as fuck today tbh.

How can the be in better form when we have closed quite a gap?

Eh? They've not won in 5 games in all competitions, and only won 3 in 10 in the Premier League. We've won 7, drawn 1 and lost 1 in our last 9.
