Newcastle United vs. Everton: 25/05/25 @ 16:00 (TV tbc)

Think we'll get it over the line. Will be nervy for sure though, they have only conceded 6 goals in their last 8 aways games in the league. Definitely not an easy fixture with everything on the line.

I think we'll start quickly and score early and that'll settle us down. We eventually get the second, they kinda give up and we score one more to seal it

3-0

We need to do what we do. Work the ball round the sides keep the pressure on and eventually we score at home.

Obviously need to be wary of the counter as N'Diaye, McNeil and Beto are all quick, plus Doucoure can be a handful at times.

But we normally start fast at home and our record is strong when we get ahead.

Just been in Grand Old Team to see what their supporters are saying about the game next week.... my days, they really don't like us do they? First clue, thread title "The Horse Punchers....." 2025 and still calling us Horse Punchers, what in the Mackemland is that?

It's obvious they're desperate to be the ones that stop us from earning CL football next season but the forum is split on the result, most are saying it'll be a beach performance and a simple win for us, but plenty thinking a draw or a win for them.

Now I just want to beat them to shut their supporters up!

Early goal(s) please, and no sitting back when we lead. Don’t allow them to pick up momentum and bomb the box with balls. We do this and we often really struggle to get control of the game again. Especially since the anxiety in the crowd hits in.

I would honestly die if we lead only 1-0 and start sitting back too much of the second half.

We've won 20 out of 23 when we've taken the lead. That includes games were we've went for goals 2 and 3 and games where we've protected what we have. We're fucking good at doing both which the table and results prove. I'm happy for Eddie Howe to manage the game how he sees fit either way.

No idea where this thing with Everton has come from, and it's from people in both fanbases as well. I'm almost convinced it's solely an online thing; I've been to Goodison twice in the last 3 seasons and never had anything but good craic with Evertonians down there, likewise when my Everton mate has come up here.

The Pickford thing and Gordon signing for us won't have helped much, admittedly.

We'll create lots of chances, no doubt. We just need to put it into the back of the net. We have missed quite a few lately.

Expect a platoon of xG nonces to storm into the thread armed with stat bazookas ready to blow your vague observations into smithereens

If there’s ever a good way to build up irrational anger towards another set of supporters, it’s going on their forum immediately before playing them.

Both their starting CBs missing but tbh their back 4 won't look THAT bad.

Young - O'Brien - Keane - Mykeleno

Its shit but it's not like they'll have to play any youth players or something. They are all decent enough Premier League defenders for a bottom third team.

Gonna be an exciting and nerve jangling week but class to go into the last weekend with all to play for. Have to think they'll get it done, haven't failed to deliver in big games at home in the new era and there have been plenty.

Keeps everything relevant as well. If Wolves fail to beat Palace Tuesday it renders the game meaningless for position for Everton. Spurs beating ManU would give the latter pride to play for at home to Villa. Gonna sit back and enjoy the ride.

For next season CL qualification should be based on the top 4/5 in the xPts table. In fact points should be handed out based on the higher xG accumulated. More fair that way.

Them and Villa fans love a non existent rivalry with us. We should take it as a compliment really.

Nothing to play for but they’ll play like their life’s depend on it, horrible cunts always been chew with these going back years.

Add Pickford into the mix and it should be a bear pit come kick off. All goes well and the Mackems are still in the Championship and where back in the Champions League this time next week.

The reverse scenario this time next week is unthinkable.

Grand Old Angry Little Scrotums is an absolute cesspit. Their hatred of us is so bizarre. I hope we batter them every time we play them thanks to that place.
