Typical game against Everton just with different stakes.  They defend well and dangerous in the counter.  Early goal to prevent them bedding it in was so important.

It’s nothing new, 99.9% of teams are not. Everton are out to frustrate us and stop as scoring as a rule of thumb.

Thank god Isak was able to be wheeled out to do absolutely nothing.  Would be nice to see him at least try once to make a run in behind or busting a gut to get to the ball first on a cross.

To make a run in behind there needs to be space in behind, and there isn't any of that. Everton are sitting too deep and are packing the midfield to stop Tonali, Bruno etc. threading anything through.

Just staying central would suffice. Had no one in the box so many times when we’ve worked an opening.
