I really like Wissa; age and fee won’t make sense but the striker shortlist is getting shorter and shorter. May need to just bite the bullet on the fee here and just get him in.

It’ll be more like a Barnes signing than a Tonali one (which tbf the former looks better in hindsight after his showing last season) but we’re here now and the perfectionist approach doesn’t seem to be coming off.

Welcome to Tottenham Hotspur!

I think so as well, staying in the London area and joining up with his old manager (and team mate I believe) as well as MGW. I think if he leaves that’s where he goes.

That’s the fee for prem strikers unfortunately and the age doesn’t bother me as he gives us that coverage for Isak for the next few years. I believe Isak won’t be signing a new contract for us so we’ll be looking to sell next year, getting someone in whose willing to play second fiddle for now but whose capable and gives us say a 3 or4 year concreting space to work through that is sensible to me.

I think Wissa would be a great signing, assuming the price wasn't mad as he's about to turn 29. He's got that wiry build that probably means he'll stay pretty athletic into his 30's. Quick, good movement, two-footed. Outperformed his xG every year he's been in the prem, so a track record of being a good finisher, versatile.

After losing their manager, captain and best player already though, feel Brentford would be nuts to sell their main goalscorer this year unless it was for sily money. They've got a fat stack for Mbeumo, they don't need the cash right now. Teams like Brentford know they're going to lose their best players, but they keep punching above their weight by letting them go one by one.

He only has one year left though I believe - offer them the money and they may just cash in.

No idea if this guy is reliable.

Sounds real - we want move, player wants move, club are not outright saying no, we offer low amount. Now just waiting for Spurs or someone to nip in then its job done.

Two English clubs.

I’m inclined to believe that because it follows the same pattern as all of our other bids this summer. Agree with the player. Can’t agree with the club. Next comes the gazumping.

He is/was reliable regarding anything happening about Belgian football and players. Not sure about other stuff though.

He'll probably then get info on Congolese players due to the Belgium ties.

All the fucking emoji's these guys use get on my nerves. Hard to take any of them seriously as "journalists"
