Wissa

Scalvini

Doumbia or someone of similar profile

Trafford or another goalkeeper of similar quality if he goes to Man City

No more major sales

Doesn't seem too unrealistic and would be a big improvement on what was a very successful season last year.

How much we reckon Spurs will get him for ?

I'm going with £38m

Spurs have to be mindful of the Gibbs-White deal though. If they've admitted defeat in that pursuit then fair play, but I'd imagine any move for Wissa would require someone like Richarlison moving on (although I've seen reports of Son leaving too).

We seem to avoid going down this route that’s why

We sold ASM and miggy/Dubs was rumoured to have rejected them.

I presume it's more. We don't have any players who actually want to go to Saudi or Saudi would even want to buy

We've tried to go big but been gazumped by bigger fish. We're not operating like bottom half fodder. We've been ambitious but fallen short for one reason or another.

We've still bagged a £50m+ winger from a team that was rivaling us for a CL spot that got 20+ G/A last season with the best years ahead of him. Wissa nabbed 19 goals in the PL last season, thats not to be sniffed at?

I get it aye, it's frustrating though. I certainly expected and hoped for more, I was under the assumption we would be a far more attractive proposition to players than we seemingly are, and I was hoping for more incomings of the calibre of our better players in Tonali, Bruno etc. Perhaps they will turn out to be, but I'm just not particularly feeling it at the moment.

Yep that gives us some hope tbh. For Levy getting in a younger player is more important for resale value. For us, having PIF as owners might give an advantage as we may be making moves in case PSR gets made redundant by the end of Wissa's contract.

I guess most players don’t want to Saudi.

It’s a sticking plaster transfer as we’re paying minimum £30m for a player we’ll recoup much less value on. We are already fighting a massive losing battle financially and signings like this won’t help us other than to give a short-term option on the pitch.

I should also add that I don’t rate him anywhere near as highly as the forum average opinion

I suppose the gamble financially is that the investment is repaid in increased revenues achieved by having a quality squad, as opposed to a future transfer fee. Like Trippier etc.

We cannot, repeat CAN NOT allow another side to beat us to this guy.

I actually wonder if hes part of the Elanga/Osula click or at least has some decent relationship with a few of our players?

I really like the idea of this signing and im even more pleased that we aren't boxing ourselves in over the profile we go for.

We really have only lost out to Liverpool and Chelsea so far right? And if Trafford goes to Man Blue?

I know what you mean though, I don’t see why players wouldn’t be desperate to come here. It’s just that some have even greater options.

Always been impressed by Wissa when I’ve seen him at SJP. He is lively, always looks for space and shots from outside the box, I was shitting myself on a few occasions when he received the ball on the edge of our box.

I’m okay with this if we extend Isak and spend the rest on a quality GK/CB/CM.

Looks like Wissa is on around £25,000 a week at Brentford. Elanga's wage at Forest was similar too.

They both probably go up to £70,000 at the very max?

That would definitely help towards offering Isak a decent new deal.
