With him having basically no pre-season, Eddie might need to ease him in gently. Even if we signed him this week, I doubt he’d even get any minutes against Liverpool.

Brentford are looking to sign Kalimuendo to replace Wissa. Reports that we are in for him as well, just wondering if him being 23 means we might be pushing on that if we feel the Wissa price is too high.

Never going to be starting against Villa. Even if he (somehow) signs today, he won't start. He's had basically zero preseason and will have had maybe two days training with us, if that.

 

Best we can hope is he comes in before Villa, gets some minute's off the bench against them and is somewhat closer to being able to play a considerable part against Liverpool.

Think if we get him before Saturday it will likely be the other way around. Start on the bench then give us whatever he can (if needed) in the last 20/30 minutes.

I would get Kalimuedo, Jackson on a loan to buy, and send Isak to Turkey on loan for a juicy fee. The Wissa situation is too uncertain.
