I think Wissa’s situation is a bit different to Isak’s mind. It seems like he did actually have an agreement with the club that he could leave for a CL club. He’s nearly 29 so it’s probably his last chance, and he’s had a health scare which I know can change your outlook. The manager also left along with 2 of their best players. I’m not saying his behaviour is ideal, but it’s a long way from what Isak is doing.

Aye.

Maybe its different to what's been reported but has anyone credible said anything about an agreement with Newcastle and Isak? Its all Liverpool fans.

Don't condone the strike stuff, but Wissa was told he could leave at a certain price. We matched it, the moved the goal posts, we matched the new price and they moved them again. I can understand his situation far more than Isaks, who has been drawn into an agent/Liverpool underhand agenda to force a move we weren't expecting.

Not like we haven't benefited from it in the past though...

Yeah exactly, also Bournemouth aren't in the CL and probably don't have aspirations to win trophies. We do, we took a pint on Isak as well after a poor season and some injuries so whilst he's been great he does actually owe us a little bit. He was fucked over at Dortmund, he had offers from Madrid but wanted guaranteed football then went to Sociedad. Nobody else would take a punt on him at that price at the time and with Eddie's help and our support he's been turned into the best striker in world football. He'll look back on this and have massive regrets when he's older. It's tainted his legacy at the club.

Such a fucking shame as well as I think if

we get Wissa, we are in a much stronger position than the last time in the CL.  I'd have fancied us to get CL and go far into the CL as well.

I don't much care to justify how Wissa has conducted himself. There's not much difference between him and Isak IMO. (If any kind of distinction is to be drawn, I would note that this is Wissa's last chance to play CL football, while Isak still has basically his entire prime in front of him).

That said, we need a striker, so I don't care.

He was told he could leave for a CL club for a certain amount. He's also not been a dick like Isak and wrecked Brentford's chances this season. Franck leaving did that.

As far as I can tell none of our fans condone or celebrate that behavior. We don’t go on every single social media post and comment FREE WISSA and BRENTFORD ARE A SMALL CLUB or HE WANTS TO LEAVE LET HIM GO and we certainly aren’t nor are his agents feeding the media daily about this.

Yeah if Brentford decide to keep him they would be well within their rights to. I for one like Brentford and won't be going on about us being bigger than them or whatever. These bin dippers are beyond the pale.

Yep, it's completely different. If Isak was 29 and we were midtable and that's our aim with a random unlikely hope for Europe you could understand it. Isak has many years left. Wissa doesn't, this is probably his last time to get CL football and also a good payday to make him comfortable.

Isn't Wissa on 25k a week? Isak 125k at 25

Honestly I’d not be anywhere near as intensely angry at Liverpool and Isak if it were not for those stupid Romano tweets  they’re actively counterproductive for everyone.

Have NUFC orchestrated a relentless coordinated high profile social media campaign to justify Wissa’s behaviour and try to force Brentford to capitulate to our demands whilst at the same time making one derisory offer that was miles short of Wissa’s market value ?

No, thought not

I can’t remember any paedo looking human thumbs from Ireland reading fairy tales about rescuing Wissa from a tower.
