OoOGazOoO
Ouch! £55m, well played Brentford. I think he will do well for us but crying out loud, £55m big ones is a joke!
HaydnNUFC
Happy to get a striker but Lordy, that fee. Suppose we had to overpay at this point of the window. Pleased with Wissa though. Despite his age I think I preferred him as an option to JSL.

Gallowgate Toon
Folks going on about his age is just another PSR shitter. He's in his prime years as an attacker, we could very well get excellent returns for 3 or 4 years before he sets off for a final payday.
stozo
Just now, North_shields_lad said: He will do well to hit 20 goals this season bearing in mind he will play in Africa. But he hit 19 last season and I think that’s without penalties so maybe he has got better with age. The downside is there is no potential to get the money back mehren he has a year or 2 on his contract, as he will be 33. Overall though if the fella from Germany can have a similar goal to game ratio he did last season, then we’ve come out the window stronger He'll only miss 3-5 games due to AFCON. I think he'll struggle to hit 20 in the PL given he'll probably only play 30 Prem games max (and probably won't start every game due to Woltemade) but 20 across PL, CL and Cups is definitely achievable and would represent a good return. Lish007
Urgh, dont like the behaviour of Wissa at all but the only silver linings is that his insta statement at least was more likeable and at least he had returned to training. Just sickening behaviour all round really. Does make you want to stop watching football but its like an addiction. You know its bad for you but you cant stop. Hmm, Ramsey and Woltemade I guess, can’t remember how much we paid for Thiaw. Elanga if he really plays well. Could’ve easily argued Isak had little upside when we signed him for £60m. Which is more now in real terms. Edited September 1, 2025 by AyeDubbleYoo
Big Geordie
Well, at least we have Wilson's replacement in now. Not over fussed, given how he's gone on at Brentford this summer but I guess beggars can't be choosers.

With one or two notable exceptions, you can only devote yourself to the club you support as a child, everything else is just business.
54
God I hate that every signing has to be "justified" and has to have re-sale value. This is a good signing, we've done really good business this summer, massively improved the floor of the squad, but that's apparently not good enough on its own. I feel you, man. But I am more sanguine now that we are potentially stringer in that position than we were at the beginning of the summer now. We've got one obviously good striker, and a potential elite one.
