Levelling any blame at the club for this injury because we should have influenced how he represented his international team is absolutely ridiculous. Regardless of Liverpool, Isak and Sweden. James
There just shouldn’t be an international break three games after the season starts

We hold the players registration and are essentially the owners of the player - not Congo. I'm pretty sure Shepherd sued the England FA years back when Owen got an injury in international duty. I don't think clubs have that amount of power like, but who knows. Also, as Yorkie hinted we would have no reason to stop him playing anyway. It's just bad luck and a stupid schedule. Menace
Getting a player to play 2 games for 90 mins without no preseason in far harsher footballing conditions is equally as ridiculous, but hey we can't be negative right?
JT24
At least we’ve hit peak UCL injury crisis before it’s even started.
Lush Vlad
He only played 60 minutes in the first game TBF. 70 odd in the second. But seems he only came off because he was injured............

relámpago blanco
He was never going to start anyway so I don't know why everyone is acting like its the end of the world. It cant be that bad if hes said at least wolves given we play Barca a few days after that.

Why do people say things like “it can’t be that bad” given the only information we have for sure is: he went off with an injury on international duty and is now going to see a specialist to assess the extent of the damage? He's a PL ready CF though and we have no other option, which has fucked our first three fixtures. He'd have 100% been straight in. It's what we paid the daft money for.
