This season just feels cursed so far. We've had the Isak hand grenade during the summer, rotten luck in the games so far, and now Isak's replacement who seemed virtually indestructable prior to the signing needing to see a specialist.

We just need a win tomorrow to give us some breathing space otherwise we are going to have a hard slog making up the points on the pace setters.

We don't have to turn it into more than it is.

It's going to be a long gruelling season, with plenty of injuries along the way, having that quality depth is so important.

Losing Ramsey and Wissa isn’t ideal, but neither are long term and we have plenty of decent options in their absence.

I don't know why people take such delight in wishing injury on opposition players.

Seen it backfire way too often over the years to ever feel comfortable doing so.

Of course now the one player we are all most eager to see come in, who plays the same position and is replacing the player people were wishing injury on, is now injured himself.

WTF are you on about.  You think there is a link between people saying they hope Isak gets injured and Wissa getting inured?!

Issue that’s frustrating, with Ramsey out that’s 7 games we now have to cover. With Joelinton only just back himself, Willock a crock and Bruno coming back off a gruelling intentional break that’s potentially straight back in. It’s spreading things thin quick.

Hoepfully wissa is just precautionary and at worst back next week, or it’s similar and we’re back to Gordon up top as Ousla will not be leading the line unless both Gordon and Woltemade are unavailable.

When it backfires you just end up looking really stupid.

So by all means keep doing it, but don't start crying when our players get injured, and when Liverpool fans now start taking the piss because you were all out there posting about Isak getting injured.

Can't even imagine how fucking embarrassing that must now be getting that thrown back in your faces if you had put that out there.

Of course there’s no link between wishing injury and opposition players but you open yourself up to be laughed at if you do. There’s also the small matter of having a good look at yourself for wishing physical harm and pain on another person.

You do realise that 90% of those 'fans' taking the piss online will happily ditch Liverpool for another club if they have a few bad seasons, and many would struggle to find Liverpool on a map?

More embarrassing is that you are somehow linking the two or that people should feel embarrassed about being trolled by some Liverpool fans

Players get injured all the time.  Again, what relevance does it have here?  Some people saying shit that they don't fully mean online when they're angry = we can't complain when our players get injured or that they're somehow intrinsically linked because of karma

Barely missed a game for Brentford in the last three seasons, immediately injured when signing for NUFC

This season is going to be one of those ones which is a long constant kick in the balls, the early signs are all there.

Fwiw I'm 47 now, I don't get embarrassed anymore, I lost that curse when I had a kid, people care too much about the perception of others, learn to validate yourself and worry less.

As much as I joked about Isak getting an injury I wouldn't wish harm on another player, but it's also fanciful to suggest that somehow caused one of ours to get injured and incredibly weak to be embarrassed about it.

The man has been injured....at all...twice in his career. What the actual fuck man.

Trippier got by far the longest injury spell of his carreer right after signing. Same with Isak, which was also his first muscle injury. Barnes, who had missed a total of 25 games his entire carreer (most of them from one injury), missed 27 right off the bat with us to a bizarre foot injury. Don't even get me started on Tonali missing an entire year, a guy who had never missed more than 2 games in a row before signing.
