Toonjam88
I think the seeing a specialist is just something we do all the time now whenever it’s a knee since the whole Botman debacle
Toonjam88
I hope anyway
ToonAbroad
Good stuff, buying that PL ready striker for £55m only for his NT to play him in two games in a week with no pre-season. I'm sure the club are delighted with them.

lovejoy
Ah never! Hope seems to have gotten this one wrong, hopefully not by much though and he’s available very quickly.
ToonAbroad
Also boring fact, if he's out for 28 days or more then FIFA will pay his wages for that missing period as compensation.
Menace
From Howe's press conference it sounds like Jacobs the one he's concerned about not Wissa, so fingers crossed he's back soon
KaKa
Wished all kinds of injury on the outgoing striker and now the guy coming in is injured before even kicking a ball for the club. And on top of that, so is the key midfielder we brought in for depth. Classic.
Sibierski
On 10/09/2025 at 10:11, Sibierski said: “He’s not involved this weekend, because he has some stiffness after playing twice in quick succession. We’re hopeful he’ll be fit for Barcelona.” Monday ”He’s had a slight set back, unlikely to feature against Barcelona but will be back to full training soon.” 2 weeks later ”He’s needing minor surgery, but we’re aiming for him to be back after the October Internationals.” November ”We’re unsure on when he will be back, there’s a bit of discomfort which we’re managing carefully.” 21st February ‘Wissa in match day squad for Man City away.’ That’s usually how it goes for us. And the process starts.
The Prophet
Meh, not great, but should still have more than enough to beat Wolves.
John P
Hasn't Wissa only been injured twice in his whole career according to Transfermarkt? Doesn't even train for us and the fucker is already out
Solitude20
It was a good call ton keep Osula then.
KaKa
Asked if Wissa would be back for Barcelona on Thursday, Howe said: “Yeah, I don't know currently as I sit here. I think he'll go away for tests and maybe see a specialist to see. So unfortunately, I can't give you that update.” Still not even certain on the damage yet. So everyone brace themselves. Sibierski
People will say it’s overblown, but I maintain it was dumb to allow him to start both games. Was a freak one, but he shouldn’t be in that situation, 45 at most each game. We was in driving seat in dictating to him what our expectations are for this break and we have to start acting like a big club in that way.

We've had the Isak hand grenade during the summer, rotten luck in the games so far, and now Isak's replacement who seemed virtually indestructable prior to the signing needing to see a specialist. We just need a win tomorrow to give us some breathing space otherwise we are going to have a hard slog making up the points on the pace setters.
