I'd start him at weekend TBF, I do find it strange how fans have just written him off when he's barely played, we've scored 3 goals in our last 4 games, might as well give him a go.

The transfer fee and weekly salary are not commensurate with his skills, that's a fact, but now towards the end of the season he could be played, and even should be, maybe in a different formation. The same goes for Woltemade, both should be in the starting lineup once we've bought them. Howe will solve it. Maybe 4-4-2, but more like an attacking 5-3-2.

It's very reminiscent of the bids we apparently made for Guehi a couple of seasons back.

Go in with a starting bid based on our valuation of the player but then start increasing the bids like an overexcited toddler at an auction instead of walking away as soon as the offer wasn't accepted.

Big interview here. Main news out of it seems to be he feels like he came back too soon from his knee injury and that has hampered him this season - but he's committed to the club and wants to improve next season.

Everyone is committed to money, including some of our biggest stars. I don't know why we use this to bash him with singularly.

 

There's lots of talk about him not being arsed but Howe hasn't indicated this. We just know he's not showing enough in training, although apparently that's improving as well.

I agree, I was at the Bournemouth game, he didn’t once get off the bench during the 90 minutes to warm up.

I honestly think for what we are allegedly going to get for him 15-20 million I'd rather he just stayed and got back to his best, the signing was a panic buy at a panic price but that's gone now and the price tag isn't his fault.

 

Get him involved for the last few games and hopefully with the summer to properly prepare he will be useful for us, I would still hope we would target another striker though.

TBF he speaks very well on that video and seems desperate to do his best. Reading between the lines Howe has done loads to protect him.

I think he's been unlucky. He needed a run of games to show his worth, but for whatever reason hasn't got that this season.
