Sorry, I just don’t agree.

They’ve had the following strikers on their books in the last two seasons, and not managed to get a tune out of any of them, really.

Hojlund

Garnacho

Zirkzee

Diallo

Sancho

Rashford

Antony

Martial

I don’t think Cunha and Mbuemo are going to look vastly superior in that team to their Wolves days, and I don’t think it’s enough to turn the ship around.

We’ll see. Knowing my luck they’ll have the league sewn up by Christmas.

No problem with you disagreeing but listing those players doesn’t help your argument. I wouldn’t take a single one of them in our side but I would have Cunha, Šeško & Mbeumo

Their midfield, defence and keeper options are still horrendously bad. That and the fact Amorin seems simple minded.

This. Their defence (and keepers) are really horrific. And their midfield was largely bypassed last season.

They just aren’t a good football team, and I think the whole is less than the sum of its parts. There’s an Ashley-era malaise over that club, in my opinion.

We would have taken most if not all of them if they existed as they were before they joined Man United.

You probably would have ahead of say Jacob Murphy and Joe Willock though like 3 years ago..

Probably because you haven’t seen them play in that Man Utd team yet.

I’d take all of them too, as it stands, but I think you drop them into that Man Utd environment and they’ll look shadows of what they signed within six months.

I also think plenty of those players I listed would look better if removed from the Man Utd environment, fwiw.

Thought you might, being relentless negative about us but positive about everyone else.

aye because this summer has been overwhelmingly positive for us hasn’t it

honesty, if you are going to say shit like this make it make sense. I’m positive when it warrants it and negative when it warrants it and this summer has been largely negative.

What we mustn't lose sight of is we have one of the best 4/5 managers in the league, if not the best.

For now. At what point is he thinking he’s just not getting the tools for the job. Of course - a fair bit of it may well be on Eddie.

Amorin got 1 point pr game last season. Wouldn't count on then suddenly improving a lot with no changes in their midfield which was the biggest problem.

It wasn't just the midfield. It was the whole system. It doesn't suit the premier league and he wouldn't change much. I expect them to be better though.

Their attack is significantly better and they have no Europe so I can see them doing much better this season

Even with current signings they easily finish top half, if they get a CM then I think they won't be too far off competing for top 6

On paper. They will find a way to ruin these new players aswell.

I'd be happy to keep him and tell Liverpool to fuck off.

horrible to think if we dont get top5 I also think Villa wont be good enough this time, so it will be 5 clubs of the big fat shit 6 most likely. and thats the whole points of PSR, dont forget 5th is only CL place as top clubs lobbied to give that extra place to top leagues not to Newcastle, Brighton, Villa etc get into CL but specifically for any club like those fucker have an off season and just miss out on top4 still be able to get into it. they didnt think at the time that Man Utd or Tottenham will end up in lower quarter of the table.

so far it worked out nicely as stupid Tottenham finished 5th last season and it did not worth CL, but it did when we finished 5th haha.

So they haven't yet?  Sesko was always going to follow the money - Man U can blab on about legacy - that's rubbish it's the wages they offer.

If we’re offering equal money to Man Utd, the player is signing for Man Utd.

At some point the club will realise that if you’re after players that the big clubs want, you have to make yourself more attractive than them - I.e. offer more wages.  No-one is picking us over Man Utd regardless of what happened last season.  To do that with PSR, you need a much higher income; until then, you’re not shopping in the same market as them.

Almost as if the transfer strategy isn’t written in joined-up writing.
