Seen one highlight vid where he looked great, another where he looked quite shit.

One thing I'm quite certain of though is that we'll not have Sesko and Isak in the squad once the transfer window closes.

He looked like a bit of a plank at the Euro's, was getting sniggered at slightly given his rep. Reminded me of that Roger Davies from Derby county in the 80's

Wew, that’s exactly the same player I had in mind when I was deciding who Sesko reminded me of

Would he say that to teammates about a club that hasn't yet bid in Man Utd?!

Or does that again not tie in with what was reported out of Slovenia as far as Newcastle is concerned?

Another important detail I think.

I get the impression this is going to happen unless Man U decide to just put an offer in and try and sell after the fact honestly.

Probably why you and Holloway get along so well. Similar.

So here's what I think is happening.

Newcastle know that Man United can't match our price, unless they have to change their entire transfer plans (no goalkeeper, no CB, no CM).

Sesko undoubtedly would prefer Man Utd but hes also interested in us. Hes given us all the indication that hes prepared to join.

In order to force the issue, weve made a formal bid, which is basically putting pressure on Seskos camp to make the move.

Its entirely down to this, what do MU do? Go all in and prioritise a striker? Or pull out and stick their plan?

I suspect Hoijlund wanting to stay has fucked them.

Its doubtable.

Are you more or less certain of this than you were that we wouldn’t sell Longstaff this summer?

I’m not convinced at all by what I’ve seen of Sesko, but the one thing that makes me excited by it is Eddie Howe. If there’s a player there then Eddie will get everything out of him.

Same TBH

I'd rather Isak stayed for a season and we got someone like Wissa

Also preferred Pedro and Ekitike

But yeah I hope I'm wrong and  the Howe factor too

I think the plan is to have both in the squad next year then flog Isak to somewhere like Barcelona next year when Sesko is all bedded in. I guess all depends on how much room we have left to get the CB and CM additions we want and need.

Best outcome is keeping Isak for a season but also getting Sesko.  2nd best getting Sesko and Wissa and Isak going to Liverpool.  Getting Wissa and keeping Isak would just mean we have to find our main striker next summer - if much rather bed in Sesko this season with a view to buying a backup/2nd striker next summer

There is no such thing as a good option that involves Isak going to Liverpool.

I'd hate to see him there, but for me Sesko and Wissa (along with Elanga) would give us a stronger front line that we had this season

About the same!

I still think selling Longstaff was a mistake. We've made what, £12m? And now we'll not be able to register a full squad for the CL, not now and probably not for many years.

Longstaff might not be incredible, but he's a solid PL midfielder and being homegrown he's literally irreplaceable.

It's not that which is the problem. Its Isak at Liverpool which is the problem.

Under. No. Circumstances.
