I'm choosing to believe the Slovenian journalist had spoken to some friend or relation of Sesko back home, who'd showed them texts of the big man in a toon top. Hence the article.

Everything's completed verbally, and we've now formally bid what we know will be accepted. Transfer will be done today and officially announced a week Friday.

;D

So it was reported in Slovenia overnight that Sesko has chosen Newcastle United.

Then this morning we get the reports of Newcastle United making a bid in the last 24 hours.

coincidence?

Nah, this guy is changing the whole narrative.

The past week we've been told both clubs were talking to his reps and presenting their project, and once he gave the go ahead then a bid would go in.

God ... these journalists are a complete and utter joke.

Truth is they know nothing, but want to report a lot for clicks.

Does smack a little of them taking the reigns

I think they have with Eddie saying he didn't even know of the Isak offer before it was turned down. Don't need an official director appointed for someone in their ranks to take charge.

If the player supposedly prefers Man United, and wanted to wait for them, and we're trying to force the player to choose Newcastle by going in with a bid to Leipzig, surely that would piss off the player?

Would we really do that? Especially considering Howe's whole thing of only wanting players that are interested in joining us?

It's just not really adding up. If we've been in talks with his camp, surely they must have given some indication that he is up for the move.

If not we'd really be setting ourselves up, and with all that's already gone on this summer, that would be really surprising.

Looking at the reporting it’s so clear there’s an agenda and everyone hates us

Crude example but the way any good news gets belittled is like an activist coming on and saying free Palestine

the big 6 have a Israel like stranglehold of the media

India is the same in cricket

shows how much money talks

No, it's just the reality of the present disparity in those clubs turnover versus ours.

These other clubs can offer a salary that we simply can't match at the moment. So it's always going to be the case that they would rather join them than us.

When we get our budgets closer to them, I'll imagine we would be on a more equal pegging.

We did it with Botman, with AC Milan's interest. He wanted Milan apparently

I know we have bid for players before this window without having agreed terms with the player.

But not a week after the initial rumours came out and everyone was reporting that it was all about having to agree terms with the player first..
