If we spend 70 million pounds on a player and he's genuinely "shit" we're probably fucked forever PSR wise so best to not even think of that scenario.

Transfers are usually down to what the manager and club think.

 

I'm pretty certain they're not bidding that amount for a player they don't think is worth it.

 

Their track record is also outstanding of late, and so if you "hate" the way the club is being run because of this bid ... that is just astonishing.

I cannot help but think our lack of a legitimate negotiating leader has played a big part in allowing the process to be so open and public. We used to get things done before anything was even announced. We are no longer buttoned up and hyper professional, sadly.

 

These transfer sagas are so fucking tedious. Everyone reporting seems to have an agenda coming from whomever they're getting information from.
