Sounds like they're just finding things to stall things long enough for Man U to shift a bit of their shite on so they've got enough to to actually lodge a decent bid tbh. Can't blame them, there's a month to go and they want to cash in

The bid we made should have been more than good enough but these stunts get pulled I suppose. Gives the club a decision to make - stick or twist. Got no issue with whatever they decide

Sounds close if that's it though. They want what we offered plus a sell on clause. Just offer them 20% profit on a sale.

Why? 20% is potentially a huge chunk of money.

He's at Manchester United mate, 3 years younger than Isak with a better trophy to his name and a European final.

He also scored more Champions League goals as a 20 year old for Man United than Isak has in his whole career.

That's where Hojlund is.

Fair play. You go to such great lengths to twist arguments in favour of positions I am not even sure you believe in.

Yep. Feels like an absolutely blatant attempt to stoke Man Utd's interest. Info probably came from the agent.

Surprised Liverpool aren’t moving on to Hojlund tbh

Sell ons seem a bit ridiculous when you get to that price range of player mind.

In cases like Trafford, City selling for a lowish fee but having a sell on makes sense but not when you're already paying an absolute premium for a player.

20% on profit? All depends when we sell him. Year left on his contract it’s all good.

On profit maybe but not overall fee. Anyone he’s going to Man Utd and we will have Isak and Wissa.

'Fears on the North East' ye knaa wtf

We'll go in one more time for him providing Man U haven't agreed a fee by then. Feels extremely backwards we haven't agreed anything with him beforehand. We are starving of course.

I cannot help but think our lack of a legitimate negotiating leader has played a big part in allowing the process to be so open and public. We used to get things done before anything was even announced. We are no longer buttoned up and hy

That seems a tad harsh IMO.

It's a function of the wider environment, where selling clubs are incentivised to incite bidding wars.

Transfers are usually down to what the manager and club think.

I'm pretty certain they're not bidding that amount for a player they don't think is worth it.

Their track record is also outstanding of late, and so if you "hate" the way the club is being run because of this bid ... that is just astonishing.

Its not just this bid, the whole place is rudderless
