And Pope fluffs the double digit amount of times Ramsdale passed it with pinpoint precision. Works both ways.

Ramsdale also made a fantastic save that stopped it being 2-3. He was not the reason we dropped points today.

That throw he sent Elanga away with was superb. He's had a good game today but when people have a negative opinion it's hard to shift for a goalie.

Depends what you look for in a keeper I suppose, I prefer a keepers primary skillset to be shot stopping personally. I suspect Howe will as well and put to pope straight back in when he's fit.

The pace it was hit at wasn’t too fast, he would have got there

Nah. It was a great hit by James, no keeper stops that without guessing slightly before it’s hit and Pope is reactive with his shot stopping for the most part.

Bang average and should be back on the bench as soon as Pope is ready again.

I probably agree, but don't complain if Pope lets in any howlers. Because he's let a few in already this season.

Agreed - Pope is better but has a howler in his game for sure. Also poor punching. We need an upgrade on both in the summer probably.

He's also got better stats in goal prevention, ie goals conceded and clean sheets. You're right he has let a few howlers in this season but the stats so far say pope on a bad season is still better at stopping goals than Ramsdale. We've seen us hold a narrow lead and get over the line soon many times with pope but not so much with Ramsdale as it ends up in points dropped.

That might be a reflection on the team rather than the keeper though.

Agreed but 6 clean sheets in 12 against 0 in 6. The team can't skew then that much.

I'd rather just judge him on what he does tbh. I don't think we should sign him permanently but he'll do as a loan back up.

Pope maybe saves the free kick but on the other hand Ramsdale doesn't concede that brain fart against Marseilles.

The biggest thing with Ramsdale is that he seems slow when diving from a standing position.

See the Neto handball 'goal', he was on the same slow motion that he was for the second Spurs goal.

Thought he was decent enough today overall
