I can't get over it. He's a genetic freak (big poppa pump), has feet like Messi. There's no way you release him 😂

Genuinely think 90 percent of people in football are stealing a living.

Werder Bremen released him on a free just over two years ago.

What the fuck man.

The Athletic had a video where they discussed him the other day.

Was at Werder since he was a kid, but he wasn't convinced about his pathway to the first team.

By the time they started giving him more opportunities his contract was winding down and he opted for a change of club and joined Stuttgart.

Can't imagine how sick Werder Bremen must have felt seeing him have the year he did at Stuttgart and then move for the fee he did this summer.

Someone linked a full thread on twitter about his strengths and weaknesses during the summer which included why he struggled (genuinely I have no idea how I’d track it down) at Bremen but also it was exactly why he would probably do well in England.

So far everything has worked out nicely. :D

looks good in the air and good in procession, but we have yet to see him go though on goal etc or really create a chance of his own.We deffo need Wissa

That part is honestly on how the team is set up currently than any individual’s fault tbh. There’s barely attacking phases where chances are even developing much less created to be even able to do that.

I don’t think any one individual will change that, it needs to be a team wide thing. I was saying this in the match day thread at half time but it felt like the team doesn’t really attack together with any sort of cohesion atm.

But I’m sure it will come.

He looks like he will only get better and that we are starting to adapt to little plays using him. Some fantastic passing phases today and his awareness, fuck me phenomenal at times and makes the game look easy. Feel he may have more in his locker than Isak even if he doesn't have the pace. Needs to start falling over when being man handled though and be nasty.

He looks a handful for all the defenders he's played against and forest couldn't cope with him, he dragged them into midfield so often.

It's percentage stuff and we'll lose possession a lot, but I honestly think if the midfield or defence just pinged balls to his feet he would make things happen more than our wingers have been. Having 2 rapid wide men hasn't been as dangerous as it seemed on paper with how we've been playing, even against high lines.

His hold up play is fantastic, but then instead of just laying it off backwards and running into space he does a Cruyff turn, bamboozles a couple of players and plays it forward, once our wingers get used to that and run into space rather than checking their runs like the had to do with he who will not be named we will start to see the goals flow.

Tbf most teams have that player they should have kept on. Toney was ours, Anderson will probably be another. Their loss is our gain though with him. He’s probably one of the most unique strikers in world football - if we can fully unlock his ability we have a zlatan/berbatov hybrid on our hands.

That or play through Bruno more, I felt many times during the first half today for what Elanga and Gordon were actually doing they were seeing the ball far too much.

I’m sure this will come though, right now the build up basically looks like a team which has new guys in it.
